Summary

In this adventure, Kim gets a call from the Veneto State Police to come and assist them in a new case that has them puzzled. While they have identified the body in the boat, found in the harbor of the pretty little town just south of Malcesine, there are certain anomalies that they have discovered in the deceased’s own home. Strange things for which they can arrive at no credible explanation. So, they call in the famous consulting detective to sort it all out. But the question is, can she? Or is this going to be one occasion when Kim has bitten off more than she can chew?

Amazing!

This audiobook was fantastic and I found I enjoyed it more than the first. These are detective audiobooks! Do not expect any type of happy ending. I find I am left quite sad and empty at the end of each audiobook so far.

BRILLIANT

Kim may be in over her head with this case. She will have to rely on her friends to help her as she is in jail. This is a great listen with a strong plot and great characters. The narration is excellent

A treasure hunt

This is the first book by this author I have listened to and even though I did like it I think I would have done better starting with book one, as I wasn't always sure what was going on or the history between the characters. This won't stop me trying out other books b this author as I did like the plot and found it interesting the way the main character was trying to solve the murder while being in jail. The story was almost written as to parts, the lead up to the arrest and the aftermath, I preferred the first part of the book and found the second part a bit confusing.
Kim thinking she was being called in to help on a murder case finds herself arrested for a murder she had no clue about. While behind bars she must organize her team to find the clues to prove her innocence. Once freed she then sets out on a treasure hunt to insure the killer can no longer get his hands on his ill gotten gains and put it to use in another deadly plan of revenge.
The narrator was good and I liked her accents for the characters.
