About this listen
A young alpha haunted by tragedy is given a second chance at a happy ending....
Still feeling the loss of his omega in a tragic car accident, Dana McMains is doing everything he can to be strong for his son and keep his business afloat. It’s no secret that he needs help, but Dana would never admit that to anyone. A blind date is the last thing he needs, but when he meets his match, everything changes.
A vegan coffee shop owner looking for love, what could be more Seattle than that?
Dex Rowley was never supposed to see 40. But with cancer beat, he’s got a new lease on life. The owner of a successful coffee shop, Dex has everything he’s ever wanted. Almost. Dex doesn’t really believe that Almega can find his perfect match, and when a disastrous first date proves him right, it will take something special to change his mind.
“With Almega, there’s a chance for everyone!”
Can Dana and Dex work together to overcome their painful pasts and see their way to a future together, or will old hurts keep these two apart?

Omega Dating Agency Book Two
Omega Dating Agency Book Two.
Dex Rowley is completely focused on his coffee shop, but his friend has finally convinced him to try the dating app, Almega. Dana McMains is trying to be a better father to his son, Lincoln, so he is cutting back on his workload. When Dana meets his business partner's friend who owns a dating app, Lincoln pushes him to try it out. Lincoln even suggests a first match. Even after the first attempt at a date goes badly, the two decide to give it another shot.
If you're looking for a story with second-chances, in several forms, this is the book for you.

An Alpha for Dex...
Dex deserves a chance at love, after overcoming the big C he doesn’t think he will find it. Leo with his Almega colluding with his bff might be the best match makers. Love the story. I like that the Alpha is younger but has enough baggage to also really deserve a second chance. There’s lots of chemistry and cuteness incorporated with Lincoln. Great narration, too.

a thoroughly enjoyable listen!
I was gifted the audio file of this book.
When I READ a book first, and then LISTEN to a book after, I can split the story from the narration and write a bit about the book and then about the narration. I have not READ this book, only listened, and so my review lines might blur a little.
This is book 2 in the Omega Dating Agency series, but you don’t need to have read or listened to book one, The Right Match, first. Characters pop up from that book with spoilers, is all. I have though, and I gave that book 3 stars for the book and 3 for the narration.
THIS book has a different narrator, Jack Calihan and he is a new-to-me narrator.
And I have a confession to make! I enjoyed the voice that Calihan gave Eric from book one far more than the voice that Johnson gave him! I mean, it was still young sounding, as was right for Eric, but not the teenager-sounding voice that Johnson gave him. It was the ONLY voice that I really noticed a difference to, as well.
Dex owns the coffee shop that Eric works in. He’s mostly okay with his lot, he wasn’t supposed to get to this age, so he plods along, knowing he can never have the family he wanted. Dana lost his Omega in a car accident and is struggling to bring up his son and run his landscaping business. His best friend makes him a profile on Leo’s app, and Leo matches Dana with Dex. Their first date, however, is a disaster. Second and third dates are much better, but will Dana run when he hears Dex’ full story? Will Dex when he hears Dana’s?
I enjoyed this one far more than book one, and don’t know if that was the narration or not, cos it might be Dex and Dana’s story I enjoyed more than Ram and Eric’s, but a much better listen all round!
Calihan’s voice is deep, and clear. All the voices are different enough for me to have no problem keeping up in multi person conversations. He gets over all of Dex’ pain that he can’t have children, and Dana’s loss of his Omega. He gets over each man’s indecision about joining the app, and then their separate battle with themselves about moving on. It’s actually quite painful listening, as they battle with their own inner demons but equally, totally amazing when they finally bury those demons and really enjoy each other.
First of Calihan’s work I have listened to. I have a couple more to listen to in due course. I like this narrator! Love finding new narrators!
4 stars for the book, and 4 for the narration.
