I loved this!

A bit far fetched at the end, but thoroughly enjoyable regardless! Another good one by Shalini Boland. xx9

The Best Friend

Well I was captured by this story and the fantastic narration until the last few chapters when it turned quite ridiculous! However I had kind of predicted the way it would go but it was a bit daft all the same. Enjoyable though and it shouldn’t deter anyone who was thinking of choosing it.

Fabulous Listen

I have finished this book after 2 days. A brilliant story which although took a few chapters to get into was just brilliant. This is the third book I have listed to by Shalini Boland and have already downloaded my fourth. Brilliant narration by Katie Villa too.
Highly recommend.

A bit silly and too far fetched at times.

I try not to give anything away when I review a book as I hate it when someone puts ‘rubbish ending’ or ‘she dies in the end’ so I’ll just say that it’s got a very silly protagonist telling the story. I wanted to shake her & say stop being so dopey. I finished it but that was mainly in respect to the excellent narrator.

Has Shalini read / watched fifty shades of grey ?

The Best Friend I had somewhat guessed just under halfway through listening to this one from Shalini whst the outcome would be some what. when the fostering and adoption came into the book a jealous other child who had been in foster care and overlooked for another one. Of course there are vast differences in books I won't say too much for it to be a spoiler alert. I still quite enjoyed it not nearly as much as some of the others but still a decent listen. narration was fantastic as always from Katie villa

The story could be written by a 6 year old!

I struggled to finish this. Extremely boring, slow and predictable . No idea how it got the high ratings. The narrator is very good though. But the story is lacking humor, suspense...basically it's the most boring reads I've experienced for months

Dreadful

I liked a couple of Shalinas book but this is the worse book I struggled to read. I recognised clips from her old books. they were muddled together in what seemed an AI style. I knew the end because she has used it before. I won't buy any of this authors books
