Summary

Winner of the B.R.A.G. Medallion, Audiobook Reviewer's Book of the Year for horror/occult, and runner-up in the Los Angelas Book Festival.

In the Philippines, there are shape-shifting creatures known as aswang. Among them, none are more feared than the manananggal, a vile creature that rips itself in half as it takes to the night to hunt for its favorite prey—the unborn.

To Alexander, his family on his mother's side were strangers, the country they lived in just a spot on the map, and their beliefs nothing more than superstitions and folklore.

While accompanying his mother on her trip home after the death of his chronically ill father, however, Alexander is shown a world larger than he could have ever guessed, one both as enriching as it could be deadly.

To keep his family safe, Alexander must risk his life to fight off an undead infant, make alliances with witches, and battle with the most dangerous creature of all—The Baby-Eater.

Are you scared of monsters ?

Absolutely amazing !!!

The author Chad Morgan totally surprised me with this one,
I was sure that I got a science fiction book, instead it was more a thriller and one written so good that I felt it all, the scary stuff felt so real, felt like cuts in my skin.
What an amazing story, such imagination and getting it all on paper in such perfection is an impossible task but Chad Morgan have done so, have done the impossible !

And on top of it all, the author Chad Robert Morgan have narrated his own book perfectly creating an audio version of it to.

Absolutely
got my full
recommendations !!!

Oded Ostfeld.

Philippines myths cause havoc

After the death of his farther, Alexander and his mum go visit relatives in the Philippines. Not happy about being dragged from home, Alex soon finds himself up against mythical creatures and fighting to save his recently met family. Good book, that moves at a nice pace, with interesting characters.
