Summary
After a terrible car accident destroys her life as she knew it, 20-year-old Kacey escapes to Florida, where she encounters an irresistible man determined to capture her wounded heart.
Just breathe, Kacey. Ten tiny breaths. Seize them. Feel them. Love them.
Four years ago Kacey Cleary's life imploded when her car was hit by a drunk driver, killing her parents, boyfriend, and best friend. Still haunted by memories of being trapped inside, holding her boyfriend's lifeless hand and listening to her mother take her last breath, Kacey wants to leave her past behind. Armed with two bus tickets, Kacey and her 15-year-old sister, Livie, escape Grand Rapids, Michigan, to start over in Miami. They're struggling to make ends meet at first, but Kacey's not worried. She can handle anything - anything but her mysterious neighbor in apartment 1D.
Trent Emerson has smoldering blue eyes, deep dimples, and perfectly skates that irresistible line between nice guy and bad boy. Hardened by her tragic past, Kacey is determined to keep everyone at a distance, but their mutual attraction is undeniable and Trent is determined to find a way into Kacey's guarded heart - even if it means revealing an explosive secret that could shatter both of their worlds.

Poorly Read
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This is the kind of novel that makes me love the New Adult genre. It’s touching, rough, sexy, deep, and the exact opposite of boring.
Kacey the [self appointed ‘ice queen’] narrator transforms into a normal girl during the course of the novel and we get to meet some great side characters, including ‘Storm’ – the stripper neighbor with a heart of gold – and the least conventional therapist I’ve ever read about (he was fun!).
I spied Trent’s back-story from a mile away but I still enjoyed the scenes between him and Kasey. The bigger disappointment for me was the ‘insta-love/attraction’ between them. It annoyed me early on, but since Tucker writes a mean steamy scene I can forgive her! Trent was pretty damn attractive.
I’m looking forward to checking out ‘One Tiny Lie’ this summer, featuring Livie’s HEA.

Amazing story
I just couldn't put this audio down! I was hooked. The twist in the story made e erything soooo much better. And you know that it is a good story when you get all these emotions bottling up withing you and you just want the story to go faster so that you find out what is going on with your characters. You know that it is a good story when you are left with wanting more when the book finishes and there is a hole in your heart!
Highly recommending this book. It's going to make you laigh and cry and stir your soul some, but isn't THAT what we are looking for within a book?
