Summary

What would you see if you saw our world as God sees it?

The New Testament book of Revelation was meant to be one of the most potent and practical in the Bible. But popular interpretations strive to identify specific people and events which simply are not there. When Revelation’s images are recognized as familiar ideas drawn largely from the Old Testament, the book can change the way we live by changing the way we see the world.

Revelation was the last message of Jesus Christ. He did not intend to give us a puzzle no one can solve. He designed Revelation as a tapestry of pictures interpreting the spiritual conflict of his expanding kingdom. From God’s perspective, that conflict defines our age.

In that sense, Revelation defines us.

Interesting

I don’t usually write reviews. The idea of using a tapestry to illustrate the differing aspects of the book was inspired. I nearly stopped listening when Glen Parkinson said that he was going to use sermons but I’m glad I didn’t. It was interesting and not sensational. General not biased. I enjoyed it immensely and have the kindle version to read the quotes from scripture.
