One of the best audio books I have listened to. Moving, well narrated, intense, emotional, complex, very good ending. Can’t really fault it.

This story took you one way and then back again - changing your mind back and forth with every chapter. Would recommend!

Really gripping storyline

For some reason I read book 2 in this series first, a couple of years ago, so thought it was high time I reacquainted myself with Zara Kaleel. This book certainly didn't disappoint. It is a cracking courtroom thriller that gave me much food for thought. I absolutely love the character of Zara, who is a 30 something Muslim woman living in a western world which is at odds with her culture. The book is brutal, intense and heartbreaking. There were several twists and I loved the ending which took me by surprise.

The three narrators did a great job.

I listened to this book in 2 days. I could not put it done. Until the very end, it keeps you gripped, not letting you know which way it will go. I highly recommend this book.

Brilliant read

Due to the themes covered this is a very difficult listen, and there were several points where I had my hand over my mouth in shock. it is hard to review this without giving anything away but it is very twisty and wow that ending!

I did get a bit confused at first who was who and struggled to remember by character name. although the narration was good, it also didn't help with remembering who was who because the narrator's put on different voices for the same characters (hard to explain).

overall though it is very dramatic and a good thriller.
