Summary
Israel Ingham's life has never been easy. He grew up in a house devoid of love and warmth. Nothing he ever did was good enough. The fact that Israel is gay just added to the long list of his father's disappointments.
Then a letter from Eastport Children's Hospital changes everything.
A discovery is made, one of gross human error. Twenty-six years ago, two baby boys were switched at birth and sent home with the wrong families.
Sam, Israel's best friend, has been his only source of love and support. With Sam beside him every step of the way, Israel decides to meet his birth mother and her son, the man who lived the life Israel should have.
Israel and Sam become closer than ever, amidst the tumultuous emotions of meeting his birth family, and Sam finds himself questioning his feelings toward his best friend. As Israel embraces new possibilities, he needs to dissect his painful relationship with his parents in order to salvage what's left. Because sometimes it takes proof you're not actually family to become one.

My absolute favourite of the genre
I've listened to a whole lot of books from this genre but this one is my favourite. loved the plot, the characters, the romance... I don't usually leave reviews but I just really loved it 😍

Seriously Fabulous Book
Deep and meaningful book with a beautiful relationship and some realistic reactions and behaviour.
Perfectly put together, really well executed and sweet love story with huge amounts of emotional processing around family and relationships. Good to have more books where the characters happen to be gay, but it’s not the crux of the story.

Beautiful story with tons of emotions
I found N.R. Walker through the Spencer Cohen series and I really enjoy her writing style. Her characters are fully fledged and dynamic. The men in her stories aren't afraid to show emotions. Her writing often takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster and wrings out all the emotions from them. I for one am happy to oblige. This story was no different. I loved both Sam and Israel and their beautiful friendship.
🎧 Joel Leslie has become one of my favourite narrators. His ability to bring the characters alive with his wonderful narration and to make the listener feel every emotion the author is trying to convey makes for a memorable experience.

Excellent story 👏👏👏
This was a heart wrenching, beautiful and captivating love story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The HEA was delightful and the narration was perfection. This is the 7th book from this author and it had me sobbing buckets of sad and angsty and deliriously happy soppy snotty tears

Not what it seams more about sexuality than switching
Should warn it is very explicit about homosexuality than family I fact hardly about switching at all
