This is a forbidden step brother mafia romance featuring Zahara & Massimo. These two started off as prison penpals until he is released. This was another slow burn and honestly coming from reading Darkest Sins I had great expectations for this book. The romance was ok but it just wasn't fully developed for me.
I was not impressed by the reveal of the villain who caused all the problems from the previous books and this book. How it was dealt with was just not satisfying. I also did not buy Zahara's new found confidence although I was happy for her. The narrators were amazing as always.

loved this story, slow burn and forbidden love. I've really enjoyed the whole series and the narrators have been fantastic all way through.

This story was widely praised by reviewers as a book. I had been looking forward to listening to the audio. I enjoyed the developing relationship in Massimo’s prison years but when it became intimate the exhibition kink from both lead characters was off putting. Having sex in front of a meeting of capos was distinctly odd and soured a story that had such a good premise.
