About this listen
In a world full of super powers, Felix had a pretty crappy one.
After learning to harness his ability to modify any item he owns, he now runs a corporation that is rapidly expanding - Legion. After tangling with the local Heroes guild they’ve finally settled into a semblance of stability.
Sounds great on paper. Run your company, make money, be your own boss, settle down. Except that with running a business, comes an inordinate amount of responsibilities. Like making sure everything keeps running and your people are paid.
Worrying about the longevity of his company, Felix begins to expand into other cities. So they’ve packed up the car, put in all the requisite forms, gotten the approvals, and set out to start Legion up in a new city.
The problem, though, is the local government had no idea who they were selling permits to. Approving forms for. To Felix and Legion.
And now they’re about to find out.

I've listened to this at least twice now.
Nick Podehl is wonderful. The 2nd book in the series is just as good as the first. The more you listen to it the more you realise how dark it is at times. I love it and cant wait for the 3rd chapter in the series.

a definite improvement too his previous books.
to start off with the glaring issue with this audiobook that might scare some of the original audiobooks fans away from this book.
The narrator. To those who didn't know, unfortunately Jeff Hays refused to perform this book for personal reasons and Nick Podehl took over for the second book.
Nick Podehl did a stunning job in this book and I'd fully recommend reading for those that were worried about the change in narration. Nick mastered several voices to the point that I fully believed that Jeff was reading out certain lines in this book.
As for the story, I feel that compared to William D Arrand's other series (selfless hero, wild wastes) there has been an immediate improvement in his work. some of his previous works had older characters thrown to the sidelines in exchange for newer characters which -to me- ruined the books. too many characters, not enough character development. but this book has had a heavy focus on the previous main characters and only brought in side characters when it felt needed.
There were some unfortunate issues with the book that which I'll leave in the next paragraph as there's no way I cannot talk about spoilers. Overall the book was considerably fun to listen to and I'd recommend for those who enjoyed the first book.

about halfway through the book Felix finds out that a god has powers over his abilities, but the way that William brings this issue up has no real affect on the reader or the story. they use the death of a side character and Felix to ask someone to save them in offer for two favours. William could've of done this by using a main character instead and have them die in a way that prevents them from returning. For example disintegration or the body turned to dust (which was also mention later on with the same side character.)
secondly the Ending of this book felt like a major loss in all forms... Tylenol is completely destroyed, Skipper city is now hostile ground, Felix's chance to become governor is gone, Felix has lost his leg (granted he has the ability to regain his leg) and his company is essentially starting from scratch. Yet nowhere in the final chapters does it state it as a defeat, more like a victory. That said I'm in the position where I'm unable to read the third book and therefore cannot tell if they're planning to mention this in that book.

Book 2 feels different
But to feel different not as many laughs the it, deafly has a darker tone to the whole book.
Has the feel That the author may be going on for possibly five books in the series which I would love If they stay to the standard all the previous book

really good listen so far
haven't listened to the book yet but with a different reader it won't be the same voices for the characters which in my opinion will lessen my enjoyment of it
but as I've said I haven't listened yet so might be even better who knows

Not a normal story.
This is not a book for everyone, keep that in mind. It takes a specific mind and emotion to read and love this story.

Great sequel!
Another great book from this author. Exciting, funny and sexy. Lots of character progression and new plotlines to keep one interested and hungry for more. I think I finished it in three days I was so hooked! I'm already looking forward to the third instalment!

Amazing but so many questions unanswered.
I would advise not listening to this book after the other give it a week or try another book for a bit then come back the difference in narrator is hard to get over at first but once you do OMG the story is amazing. This book leaves a few huge questions unanswered but its so good
