Absolutely lovely.
I've your in the mood for a well written fluffy small town romance, this is the book for you.
This is a contemporary romance instead of the paranormal awesomeness I've read from this author before.
The lack of other worldly things happening, didn't bother me at all! I loved everything about this book. It was the right kind of fluff I needed right at that time.

So good!
This was a wonderful and heartwarming story with very little angst. The writing was great and I hope there will be more books because there we a few vey intriguing characters that I want to get HEAs.
Greg Boudreaux was magnificent. Even if f I didn’t love the story, I’d love this audiobook just because I got to hear Greg sing!

Great small town romance
I loved the small town we've been introduced to in this story and cannot wait to meet more of its citizens and visitors and learn their stories. Casey and Dev are wonderful characters and watching them find their footing and figure out how to live their lives on their own terms, serve the town and build a relationship with each other made for a great story with a perfect HEA. Greg Boudreaux as always becomes all the characters in the book and lets us get to know them inside and out with his performance.

Light and delightful.
What a sweet and funny story. Beautifully written, with excellent character development, and lots of heart. Both Dev and Casey aren't in a good place, both trying to please others at the cost of their own happiness. I loved how they clicked, and were just perfect together. Home sounds like paradise, the perfect place to live. Casey falls in love with the small town, and due to his ingenuity, saves it's uniqueness for all of those who live there and future generations. The love story is perfect, even if it is very slow burn. Who cares though? When the story is as entertaining as this one, and a total page turner, the lack of sex in the budding relationship doesn't matter one bit. Casey and Deb compliment each other nicely, and I was totally convinced by their love. Add a cast of eclectic secondary characters (whose stories I can't wait to read), an eccentric small town and a giant ginger cat, called Randolph Scott, what's not to love? Another great read from Ms Russell, highly recommended if you need a light hearted pick me up. Having listened to the audio copy, Greg Boudreux, one of my all time favourite narrators, does an excellent job in bringing the MCs to life. He truly captures their characters, and brings the humour of the story to the fore. 5*s all round

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧A Heartwarming Delight!
This fabulous small-town romance is the first book of E.J. Russell’s new “Saving Home” series and what a wonderful start it is. I even loved the blurb, the foolproof recipe for personal redemption and perfect love and all the rest describe the book completely. I adored the two lead characters, Casey and Dev, some of the secondary characters are pretty amazing too, including R.S. the mystical ginger cat. Casey’s dad was a renowned and award-winning chef and his uncle wants him to follow his late father’s footsteps and bring back his restaurant and famous dishes. Despite practically growing up in kitchens, Casey is the worst cook ever, but that did not stop his uncle from enrolling him in cooking classes, but after getting thrown out of them all his uncle finds a school for him to attend in Home, Vermont. Dev is a rock star, but he left his band and his ex and returned to Home after a tragic accident took the lives of his family. He inherited the Harrison House and the town manager position, and he is struggling with keeping up with the books and finances. Casey’s uncle enrolled him in the Summer Kitchen cooking class for three months and is staying at Harrison House. The chemistry between Dev and Casey was electric, and I enjoyed watching them get to know each other. There is a hiccup in their budding relationship when Bradley comes to visit, making demands and stirring up trouble for them and the town. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story is captivating from start to end and has the perfect balance of drama, charm, humor, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but worth the wait romance. E.J. Russell, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Greg Boudreaux is a wonderfully talented voice artist, and he did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life, from the pages to your ears. His character voices are fitting and I loved how he took each role and made it his own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. He set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling every single one. Great Boudreaux is an entertaining storyteller and his performance elevates the story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Welcome Home. Don't be a d*ck.
I am a huge fan of E.J Russell's paranormal books, although I hadn't read/listened to many of her contemporary romances, but with both an author and narrator that I love, I took advantage of a free audio copy of this book. I'm glad I did! MCs Dev and Casey were both the sweetest, and I really appreciated the lack of severe angst. Many problems come up, but they are dealt with without overblown handwringing. Both Dev's ex and Casey's wanna-be boyfriend/stalker are calmly and logically put in their places, and there wasn't a huge communication breakdown (just a little one), I loved the side characters as well. The town of Home is chock full of quirky, engaging characters, and I loved the universal response of mm-hmm, and the town motto (refer to my headline). This is book I, and I am really looking forward to more in the series.
What to say about the narration? Greg Boudreaux is one of my favorite narrators and I would likely listen to any audiobook he narrated. His voice is pleasant and so easy to listen to, and I love the way he brings each characters' personality to life. A narrator can make or break an audiobook (and there are some audiobooks I won't listen to, even though I loved the book, because the narrator is too boring or dry). That is definitely not the case here. I think Greg could make the phone book sound interesting!
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Cute story, great narrator
Narrator was great 👌🏼 I did not like music intro into chapters.
Dev and Casey’s story is centred around a small town called Home, which the two need to work together to save. It was a cute story, however some things that really annoyed me were:
- Casey had an eating disorder at the start of the book which was magically resolved when he picnicked with Dev
- Both MC’s had another man after them who was entirely evil and irredeemable in every way
- Everything was wrapped in a neat little bow at the end and evil exes were thwarted and defeated despite their fame, money and status
Still a really fun audiobook and super cutesy.

2 Men who compliment each other perfectly
Story = 4.5 as I couldn't decide whether to rate it 4 or 5 stars. I loved it but I just can't see myself rereading it, which is my requirement to rate a book 5 stars.
Narration = 5 stars

The narrator did a fantastic job. I love listening to Greg Boudreaux everytime. He has such a pleasant reading voice. He expressed all the emotions wonderfully. He seemed age appropriate for the characters and kept a gpod pace even though I did speed it up. He gave all of the characters distinct voices that suited each perfectly and really brought the story to life. It was a pleasure to listen to. He even outdid himself on the singing parts and sounded great. I personally could have done without the guitar intros, that was a bit overboard, but that's just me.
