About this listen
Life is full of surprises...even when you’re already dead.
Sterling has his hands full balancing the attentions of an ancient Norse deity, a knife-wielding Knight of the Flowers, and a sleazy vampire sycophant. And those are just his buddies.
But something is amiss in sleepy Silveropolis. More human hunters are appearing, intent on attacking not only Sterling, but the rest of the supernatural population as well. Stranger still is the sudden disappearance of the moon. With the local werewolf pack weakened and the mountains swarming with hunters, Sterling and his friends have their work cut out for them. Except there’s another tiny problem.
The Scepter of the vampire court of California is in town. And she is pissed.

Sweet Roth
Sucker Punch is the third book in the Vampire Vigilante series. This series is a spinoff from the Darkling Mage series, but can be read independently from that series. However, I do suggest reading the Vampire Vigilante in order since it follows the same characters with an interconnecting series plot.
Sterling and his gang of friends finally facedown with the crazed witch trying to eradicate the supernatural and the mysterious head of the Perpetual Sun cult. I was not expecting a few of the twists that the author threw in there, but it was fantastic and had me on the edge of my seat. Vilmas, Sterling’s best (reluctantly) vampire friend was both hilarious and impressive in this third book and I hope he will continue to make an appearance in future books. I adore the romantic progression of Roth (Thor) and Sterling’s relationship – there is no real heat in this book, but the genuine care and affection between them is evident and very sweet.
The audiobook was narrated by Nick Podehl who does a wonderful job. Nick really embraced the character of Sterling and did a great job with all the sass and sarcasm. I really enjoyed the audio performance and found it engaging and engrossing. The audiobook production was well done.
