Summary

"Dude! It finally came!" My roommate barely withheld his excitement as he barreled into the living room of our apartment with a package in his hand. "Check it out, Jacob." He smiled as he tore at the brown paper surrounding his purchase.

As he ripped the covering off the package, bits and pieces scattered all across the floor of the living room like confetti. For a second, I thought about lecturing Todd about not making a mess of our apartment, but who was I kidding? This place was already a shithole. At least some half-assed confetti would make it feel a little livelier.

My roommate was your stereotypical stoner archetype. Seriously, he looked like he belonged in a hippie van solving mysteries with a Great Dane. Todd's long, blond hair was always greasy and unkempt, and the smell of the sweet leaf reeked off him so frequently that most people just assumed he was using a hemp-laced cologne.

To top off his look, Todd wore a bit of scruff on his chin in the shape of a rough soul patch, as well as a t-shirt with the logo of whatever old-school rock band or metal band that he was currently listening to.

LOLA!

it was a good, straight forward story ... a funny moment with Lola the car when the narrators broke character ... possibly an editing oversight but it made the scene more enjoyable

noice

I've tried a couple of eric vall audiobooks, and I think christopher and jessica are really good, not sure if I am getting hook by the story or the performance.
speaking of which, I think there is a bad take when christopher starts laughing when the car dies.

Good story, great voice work but...

Obviously the cover intrigued me, hell you don't see an image of scantily clad succubus without automatically thinking something perverted. However, whilst it is adult orientated there is much more to the story and it actually plays out really well. The only issue I have is that in chapter 18 there seems to be an editing error within it, where Christopher and Jessica actually break character and begin laughing. It was a bit of a shock when first hearing it and actually had to do a double take. Other than that the editing was good, the characters and voices were well done and the story itself was well spoken.

good first story but the narrator

hey good first story. manga esk style story that is exactly how you think it will be. it doesn't really go into great detail and has the market audience I think of a 15 to 18 year old boy. while it is fun and has a few Pop Culture references it's not the most well written or fleshed out. however give the author his dues it is his first book in the series. I must admit that some of the descriptive scenes are uninspired.

the narrator towards the end of the book breaks down and starts laughing. this needs to be re edited.

No, just NO!!

All characters are completely two dimensional. The main character is an utterly despicable moron. The succubuses are interchangeable, vapid sorority girls. The only character I ended up liking was the originally maddening stoner type.

Apparently the succubus fall madly in love with the MC because he has the worlds largest member. Has absolutely no idea what he's doing in bed, but his magic d*** makes the women swoon at just a glance.

The plot is just laughable. Insanely powerful beings defeated because they get angry and distracted that they don't have a magic d*** too.

The line 'coolest guy in the universe' is used and meant GENUINELY! Not ironic or anything. I burst out laughing whilst cringing hard. Painful to listen to.
