Summary

Yuri Bonyev enters the Zone once again, this time guiding Russian mobsters on a search for prime real estate inside the most heavily quarantined region on the planet. But the Zone operates by different rules than the streets of Moscow or Vladivostok, so will these newcomers respect its ways, or will they be weighed in its scales and found wanting?

More important, what will Yuri have to pay for their ignorance?

Patrick Todoroff is the author of the Eshu International novels, the ongoing Clar1ty Wars cyberpunk series, the Celtic ghost story "The Barrow Lover", and numerous Mil SF shorts. He has also developed the table top war game Hardwired and the upcoming Zona Alfa from Osprey Publishing.

Strange Treasure is a story for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Metro 2033 post-apocalyptic worlds.

Mr. Best-in-Area.

Strange Treasures, is a fast paced S.F.thriller as Yuri tries to conduct a client - a so-called accountant and his two body guard 'colleagues' - safely through the Zone, facing not only guards and drones but also the mutated occupants.

Narrator, Zachary Johnson, spits out his words, bullet like, with good intonation, perfect for the nature of the short story. His brisk delivery is excellent. The dialogue is good and the characters well plotted, given the brevity of the story and the considerable time spent on the action. Altogether, a fun and unusual story.

My thanks to the rights holder of Strange Treasure, who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy via Audiobook Unleashed. The concept of the Exclusion Zone was a clever one. Although the title includes the words 'Another Tale', the story stands alone but, if there are any more in this series, I would very much like to find and read them

Gripping

The writing keeps on going, wanting to know more...like a good episode a series. The main character has many more stories to tell and/or discover...
