Summary
He’s always loved her. Now, he’ll fight to save her.
Zachary Haven is living a lie. He’s stuck in a rut, pretending to hate the woman he’s always loved. He didn’t mean for things to turn out that way. But sometimes life gets out of control, especially when you’re young and stupid. Not that he ever had a chance with her. She’s gorgeous and smart, talented and kind. And Zachary? He can’t seem to keep himself out of trouble.
Marigold Martin just met the man of her dreams. Blowing into her life like a storm, he sweeps her off her feet. She can’t help but wonder if he’s the one. He’s a dream in a bespoke suit—and he says he wants her heart. But nothing is as it seems.
A brush with death wakes Zachary up to the reality of his life. And his feelings for Marigold. He’s determined to make her his—convince her they were always meant to be. But secrets run deep, and Zachary fears the man who’s after Marigold could be more than a romantic rival. He could be the devil himself. And Zachary might be too late to save her.
Author’s Note: A troublemaker turned small-town hero risks everything for the love of his life. A soft-hearted heroine who finds her strength. An accidental body piercing, brotherly shenanigans, the Squirrel Protection Squad, and lots of big feels. This small-town romantic suspense will leave you breathless, with the romantic happily ever after you’ve been waiting for.
Storms and Secrets is a MF romance with no cheating or sharing partners, and is NOT a love triangle.
Content warning: this book contains references to sex trafficking.

Both story and narration ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
There’s no surprise that the story is amazing but the audible gives it that little extra. Teddy is spot on with Zachary, as is Samantha for Marigold (although her Preston was a little creepy, but maybe that was the point)

Another amazing listen from Claire Kingsley
Claire Kingsley once again delivers an engaging novel that makes you fall in love with love, with Tilikum, and with those Haven brothers. Storms and Secrets bought the emotion and intrigue, sprinkled with some humor, mixed in a ton of heart, and leaves you feeling satisfied.
As with the first book in the Haven Brothers series, this book is lower on the spice scale than her previous series, but it still delivers on romance and emotion, and it has all of the polish and quality of a Claire Kingsley novel. It's a high-quality small-town romantic suspense that brings you back to Tilikum, home of the Havens and the Baileys, and their legendary feud, which has since ended. Zachary Haven has always had a crush on Marigold, but he's never felt like he deserved her, and so he pushed her away. Lucky for us, and him, a minor brush with death makes him come to his senses, and now he's channeling his surliness into wooing. Thank you! I've been waiting for Marigold to find her happily ever after, and Zachary seems up to the task of keeping her happy.
Samantha Brentmoor as Marigold and Teddy Hamilton as Zachary are wonderful in this audio. They're joined by Desiree Ketchum in a featured role as Brielle. When I say that they are wonderful, I mean it. The audio is a fantastic listen that will have you on the edge of your seat during the exciting conclusion to this story. Quality narrators make you feel the emotion, tension, humor and anxiety as you listen, and I felt everything.
Another Claire Kingsley home run of a novel.
