Summary

Silence has fallen. The Psy are free to feel emotion. Free to love. But Silence was never a prison for Ivan Mercant.

The biggest threat to his future lies dormant in his brain—a psychic monster that wants only to feed. And now, the brutal leash he's kept on that monster is slipping. He prepared for this day, for the end of Ivan Mercant...but that was before he met Lei.

As primal as she is human, this wild changeling brings colour into his life, laughter to his soul. Then the dream shatters in a rain of blood, in silent bodies in the snow. Lei is gone. Vanished without a trace...until Ivan meets strangely familiar eyes across a busy San Francisco street.

Soleil Bijoux Garcia is a healer who has lost everything. She exists in a world of desolate aloneness...until the day she finds herself face-to-face with a lethal stranger. The animal who is her other half knows this man, but her memories are tattered fragments. Sorrow and a need for vengeance are all that drive her. Her mission? To kill the alpha of the Dark River leopard pack.

But fate has other plans. Soon, a deadly soldier who believes himself a monster and a broken healer might be all that stand between life and death for the entire Psy race....

Yes

Fantastic. I have pretty much adored this series from the beginning and even all these books in the macro plot still excites me and I'm always so happy when a new book drops. The relationship between Soleil and Ivan wasn't always the smoothest and could to some seem a little patchy and rushed, but I adored every single page of this.

She has done it again

Amazing book. Loved the macroplot resolution for this book, and of course the romance part was lovely as always. I see reread potencial for sure

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book more than many others in this series (and associated series). It seemed to reach its potential and pull me in more. Glad I gave it a go.

Great book new characters

Another great book about characters we have never before been introduced to. We go back to the day of sky elm and their crazy alpha trying to kidnap Lucas hunters baby girl. We see what happened to the people from sky elm once they join his pack. I won’t say anything about the new characters as it may spoil the book for you. All I will say is enjoy it’s a great book.

epic games and pay net fails

wow, what a conclusion to this branch of the story arc.
this follows Psy Evon Mercant, who on a training session with wolves gets injured and treated by changeling Solei.
she's victim of an attack and disappears, turning up later hunting for those who killed her pack, but with no memories of Evon.
it's romantic, funny, sexy, fraught with danger, gripping and immersive.

Brilliant Instalment to a Series That Never Gets Old

Well Nalini Singh has done it again. InnStorm Echo she has introduced new characters for us to root for, whilst continuing to deepen the overarching plot of the Architect and the Scarabs.

Brilliantly narrated as always by Angela Dawes.

Thoroughly recommended!

With a heavy heart…..

I write this with a heavy heart…. Huge fan, read and continuously re-read NS’s books. Unfortunately, this one and the previous were not up to scratch. Waited ages for this book on pre-order, this is bar far her worst. Sorry, just keeping it real. Can’t confess to be a fan then lie!
