A book for those interested in how gin is made
If you're a budding gin maker, gin blogger or just interested in finding out more about how gin is made, then this is a great book for you. It makes the subject of gin development and tasting interesting and the accompanying pdf helps in relating to the narrative in a constructive way. There is so much more to making gin than what Marcel covers here, but including it would have made this a little too niche for readers and word have pushed this into a more specialist publication. And let's talk about Marcel's narration. It is clear that he's not a polished narrator, but his genuine passion on the subject and honest reflections make it an endearing listen. In terms of story, it is lacking here but the book is none the worse for it. If you want a greater appreciation of gin, how to taste the many complex nuances of the spirit and the hard work that goes into each and every bottle, then this is a must listen.
