The author has done a marvelous job explaining what shadow work is, how the process works, and all the benefits this form of healing will provide you! I’m super glad I listened to this audiobook before beginning my own darkness reflection because I had no idea how many terms and topics I still needed to learn. Each chapter covers a different aspect of shadow work and the author clarifies where the topics might overlap in your journey. I also appreciated the length of each chapter, as they fit into my day nicely:)

A couple of years back, I didn't know that if I did something out of character, it was because of my shadow. For me, it was sort of forced by events. I wish I had a book like this one because maybe I would have handled what was happening with some more grace and less confusion. Even so, I love that this book exists. It will help you calibrate your expectations and heal without compounding your grief.
