Story had promise
The rather excellent narrator, Michelle Babb, kept me listening to what would otherwise have been a somewhat disappointing book.
The story was full of promise and I enjoyed the characters that the author skilfully drew, but I felt they could have been better used in a faster paced and more thrilling version of the story.
I wouldn't dismiss this book though and I'd be interested to listen to others.

enjoyable holiday listen
This was an enjoyable holiday listen. I listened to it during the 4th of July weekend. I liked the characters and the book held my attention. I can't imagine being in the middle of the situation that the main characters were in. I think some of the situations they found themselves in were crazy. How does one end up having to solve a dog napping? The characters found themselves dating the wrong men and that led to interesting conundrums. I thought this book was a fun way to pass the time while all the festivities were cancelled this year. The narrator did a fantastic job once again. I really enjoy listening to her read books. I am sure to listen to more she reads in the future.

Another great listen
This was a fun story made better by Michelle Babbs' narration - she added just the right emotions. The story is in no way serious and I am not sure if I would have read it, but listening to it for me works. I really enjoyed it and will definitely look for more by this author (as well as the narrator) as an audio book.
I was given a free copy by the narrator but the review is entirely my own

Excellent
This was a brilliant story, in places it had me laughing out loud as some of the story is that funny!
She’s a bit of a clutz and has the strangest dreams lol
The characters are all good, but I must admit I was a bit sad to find out about the boys, they were so nice, I thought they sounded to good to true. But at least bob did the right thing in the end!
The narration was excellent too. I highly recommend this book for the fun factor alone.

Fun Listen!
Stars and Stripes 4th of July by Mariana Williams is a fun and easy listen. This lighthearted listen has some endearing characters. I enjoyed the imagery quite well. Michelle Babb was wonderful bringing the characters to life. She adds the right emotions.

Stars or STripes.
I wasn't keen on the beginning of this book and nearly dumped it but went back to it after a few weeks and really got into the story. It is an interesting tale set against the backdrop of an Island hotel where Veronica our main character is employed to entertain the guests as well as produce a talent contest. Alongside her job she is trying to write a book about a famous actor who is easily distracted from supplying her with the info she needs to meet the deadline. A dognapping and 2 too good to be true guys all add to the mystery surrounding the place. Michelle Babb both narrates and sings her way through this book making it a very enjoyable listen. *****

Stars and Stripes
Veronica finds herself in Hilton Head to finish up the summer and her manuscript. She needs to make some new friends and does just that. Only people are not always quite what they seem. Something felt off to me from the beginning, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Life seemed so perfect in this little vacation town. Then the ending will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. The narration is nice and easy to listen too.
