Summary

FIRST IN THE GUARDIANS TRILOGY

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents a trilogy about three women and three men who join forces to solve an ancient mystery through the power of timeless love…

Sasha Riggs is a reclusive artist, haunted by dreams and nightmares that she turns into extraordinary paintings. Her visions lead her to the Greek island of Corfu, where five others have been lured to seek the fire star. Sasha recognizes them, because she has drawn them: a magician, an archaeologist, a wanderer, a fighter, a loner. All on a quest. All with secrets.

Sasha is the one who holds them together - the seer. And in the magician, Bran Killian, she sees a man of immense power and compassion. As Sasha struggles with her rare ability, Bran is there to support her, challenge her, and believe in her.

But Sasha and Bran are just two of the six. And they must all work together as a team to find the fire star in a cradle of land beneath the sea. Over their every attempt at trust, unity, and love, a dark threat looms. And it seeks to corrupt everything that stands in its way of possessing the stars....

Nice story well read but watch out as abridged

Would you consider the audio edition of Stars of Fortune to be better than the print version?

No as this version is abridged, it does say that in the description but I somehow missed it so was confused as I am familiar with the story and it kept skipping bits. Would ave much preferred an unabridged version

What was one of the most memorable moments of Stars of Fortune?

I liked how the characters met and the descriptions of Corfu

Which character – as performed by Saskia Maarleveld – was your favourite?

Have to say Sasha and Bran as its their story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Probably (especially as it is short due to be abridged... bit annoyed i didn't spot that before i ordered though not sure if there is an unabridged version available)

Any additional comments?

This is a nice story, a good into to the trilogy and it is performed well with no bad accents
