Summary

Conspiratorial conflicts boiling over. Allies pushed into the mix. The stars are spilling war onto Earth.

Kat revealed the Stallesp plot: The aliens never meant to abide by rules laid down by the Galactic Consensus, instead choosing to ask forgiveness rather than permission for interfering with Earth and its corporations. Now she is fighting a lonely war against the invasion as she tries to buy enough time for help to arrive.

Her allies are gone or preoccupied, forcing her and the few friends she’s made to try and root out the invaders without formal support. As her investigation heats up, revealing a situation worse than Kat ever could have expected, she needs to confront an unpleasant fact: not all of humanity's enemies are aliens.

Now Kat is racing against time, both in and out of the tower. Despite her skills, magic, and allies, her best may not be enough.

This series needs moar books

Starfall by Cale Plamann read by @MouthyMaven. This is a drastically different third book 📕 in the #TowerofSomnus series.

The death of the protagonist's mentor and handler Xander, give this novel a sadder tone as the MC Kat works out to 🗡️ defeat the #Stallesp. Kat's character and temperament is darker in this novel than previous books: a more cut throat businesswoman mentality 🥷. But she still can't accomplish her tasks without her accomplice Whippoorwill.

As for the audio, @MouthyMaven was unerringly on point with the narration.

This is a very strong third novel and an absolute pleasure to read. I do hope there is a sequel to see Kat's powers fulfilled to their fullest extent. 📚5/5⭐️ #BookReview #BookTwitter #BookRecommendation

Great end to the story but..

I cant wait for book four!

It's rare listening to a book that doesn't finish with a cliffhanger. This story feels complete but ends in a way that's perfect.

I will not include any spoilers but this book is amazing. Great plot, amazing world building, character development and dynamic fights and abilities.

In a way, it feels more realistic than other litrpgs with cooperations owning the world.

If you like an MC who struggles to achieve everything this book is for you
