Summary
Julianne Baker seemingly has it all. Working for a nationally published nature and gardening magazine in Manhattan and leading a glamorous life in the Big Apple...or is she?
Julianne returns to her hometown of Lilac Glen, Georgia to dig into an article on family-based nurseries and floral businesses; something she already knows plenty about after growing up surrounded by her family's floral shop and greenhouses. Going back home down south isn't something Julianne gets to do often.
While there, she meets Tucker Case; a handsome investor and real estate manager who is trying to fit in as a farm owner in the town he now calls home after inheriting the picturesque land from his uncle, making him the Bakers' neighbor. As days get longer, and spring starts to reawaken, will flowers be all that bloom?
Join Julianne as she opens her heart to new adventures while learning to take life a little slower down back roads; bending with the curves instead of against them.
Please note that minimal changes have been made since the audiobook's recording that you may notice if following along with a visual copy, including a minor character's mention's name from Colin to Kevin.

Sweet story
This was a sweet story but the narration felt rushed. At times it was hard to keep up with the story as it was being read very fast. I wanted to say to the narrator to breathe. This did spoil the story somewhat.

sweet
A lovely, short and sweet romantic story. My favourite character is Tucker. He's very likeable and cute. This is a nice story and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to read a short romance or listen to a full story in one go.
The narration is excellent and the characters are nicely performed.

A pleasurable, easy listening romance.
Essie Heart’s narration of Spring in Lilac Glen kept me entertained during my daily commute. Her voice was lovely to listen to and her male voices sounded quite natural.
This was a short book to listen to but the I felt the story was quite complete. Julianne Baker is a nature photographer and I enjoyed listening to the descriptions of her excursions in the wild – and not so wild – to obtain the perfect photos.
I enjoyed Julianne’s trip home and her observations of her home town as well as the people there. She is definitely fond of the place and people but she is savvy enough to not romanticise small town living either. It’s not all about rocking on a chair and admiring a view while sipping tea.
Tucker Case is the hero in this book and while I wish we got to know more about him, what we did find out was sufficient for the story.
I also appreciated that while these two were attracted to each other, there was a natural progressions in their relationship. For the sake of brevity some authors rely on insta-love and that is not the case here.
The Moonlit Hearts Romance series is a great choice when you’re in need of an uplifting romance.

Sweet romance with a strong female lead
I love Angie’s lighthearted romances that aren’t bogged down by angry people barely missing each other with their stubborn ways. What she delivers in Spring In Lilac Glen is a sweet, natural growing of a relationship troubled only by the problem of distance; Julianne lives in the city and is in Lilac Glen for work. She must return to her Manhattan-based job at the end of the week. Tucker just left the city and is ready to trade in his tie for a pair of cowboy boots. I was given a review copy of the audio version of the story and felt the narrator did a good job. I recommend this book to people who like lighthearted romance.
