Could be more
I wish this was a series or a longer book. So much was left unknown. Good story nonetheless. Narration was done very well. Loved the concepts of the book! Wish there was more to answer more questions.

Magic & Science
This was a great start to a new series! The Paranormal Council has placed Casie, a witch, undercover in a lab checking blood specimens to hide the paranormal world from the humans. She gets a blood sample that’s unusual and off the charts and she gets thrown into a world of murder and investigation with three men. I loved the mix of science, magic, and mystery and seeing more of the Paranormal Council Universe. I loved that each member of her team/ harem were different types of paranormals- Hadrian is a vampire, Isaac is a necromancer, and Zack is a bat shifter. Each of them were likable, had different personalities, and had different strengths and weaknesses. I can’t wait to see what the next mystery will be in this series and the journey it takes Cassie and her men on! Her voice was easy to listen to although I wish her characters had more of their own voice. I loved her British accent and she kept me hooked until the very end!
Ruth did a great job with this narration!

Slow Burn Revese Harem
Spell Caster by Laura Greenwood is a reverse harem paranormal mystery that I listened to on audio narrated by Ruth Bailes. This book is set in the Paranormal Council Universe.
I just love Laura’s books! They always leave me begging for more. I really enjoyed the paranormal criminal investigation in the series and I look forward to more books being wrapped around this aspect of paranormal universe.
Ruth did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.

Intriguing
This is not a genre I've ever read or listened to before, so I didn't know what to expect.
It took me a little while to get into, but once I was a couple of chapters in I wanted to find out where the story was going, who these characters were and what would unfold...
Spellcaster was intriguing, it left me feeling like their could be more in the series, or it could equally be a standalone book. It was an easy listen.
The narration was clear, warm and soothing, Ruth Bailes had me transported to Cassie's lab and visualising the characters in my mind. I look forward to listening to more of her narration in future.

Slow burn paranormal RH.
Being involved in solving a crime is not what Cassie was expecting when asked to look into an abnormal blood sample. She finds more than just an evil criminal when PCI comes asking for help. Love the mix if paranormal and crime fighting.

I think this maybe my favorite yet.
I think this may have been my favorite Laura Greenwood novel to date. While I do wish there was a little more details into the case that was presented everything else fell into place. I didn't feel like I need more background information on the characters. The plot never really made me feel the need for one. I really enjoyed the pacing on the novel. One of the good things about her novels being shorter is that I don't have to worry about them being boring or slow paced. Each scene led right into the next at a great place. The case that was being investigated was interesting and that's why I wish there was just that extra detail to go into it.
I instantly latched on to Cassie's character. I liked how honest she was with herself - she knew exactly what she was capable of but didn't have a big ego about it. The boys each complimented themselves well while also being the perfect companion for Cassie. With this novel the romance wasn't heavy at all which I liked because it let the story shine through more. It was interesting seeing all the different types of paranormals working and falling for each other.
NARRATION REVIEW
I liked the narration. It definitely wasn't my favorite and I did find the different inflections of the character voicings to be a little similar but overall it was well done. If you are interested I would consider the narration.

Great
I really enjoyed this story. It was fairly short but very easy to read.
Cassie is a witch but works in a lab. She is recruited into a small team that investigate paranormal crime, only to find that her team mates might also be her mates.
The story is easy to understand and the banter between Cassie and the guys keeps the conversations really interesting.
The narration was good, it was so refreshing to hear an English voice. Ruth Bailey does a great job, making it easy to understand the story.
