About this listen
For those of you who want to practice most of the sounds in Spanish and get it right, from scratch! SpanishMania Alphabet Pronunciation and More! is an exploration of all Spanish vowels and consonants with examples and fun drills for each vowel – alone, and in combination with other vowels.
How are we going to make you an expert in pronunciation? By combining each consonant with each vowel. We’ll present you with some words that contain all of the Spanish vowel sounds in each word so that you can get the sounds just right! Did you know that we have hundreds of words in common with Spanish? Using 83 words that we share (and some that we don’t share) you’ll learn all of the Spanish consonants and vowels with many examples plus pronunciation drills of these words! This way, since you’ll already know the words, you can focus on the pronunciation.
These drills help you to avoid saying something other than what you meant to say…especially when using, for example, the ’d' sound. You’ll enjoy our practice with the ‘r’ sound and discover when it is pronounced as a simple ‘r’ and when it should sound like a double ‘r’. You’ll find out what two letters are considered a single letter by some Spanish alphabets, but yet, there are no words that start with that group of two letters in any Spanish dictionary! You’ll learn about the only letter in the Spanish alphabet that we do not share with the English alphabet. This is a recent change! Learn the only times that a particular vowel is silent in Spanish. Let’s explore the Spanish language together, and have fun doing it!
