About this listen

My name is Megan, and it’s been three months since I’ve found a dead body.

At first, the most recent death in our cozy little town had nothing to do with me. The police said the poor man had a heart attack and lost control of his car.

Spoiler alert: It wasn’t a heart attack. It was murder.

Why did it have to happen in front of my yarn store? And why do I keep discovering dead bodies like it’s a hobby? I’d ask a therapist, but it turns out it was the local therapist who wrapped his car around the lamp post in front of my store.

And now, someone is stalking me on my laptop, cell phone, and tablet.

Are they trying to use me to get away with murder? Or are they using technology to hunt their next victim?

The police aren’t convinced that my stalker and the therapist’s murder are related, but I know if I find the stalker, I’ll solve the murder.

With help from my friends, I’m determined to solve this. There’s no way I’m going to jail or to my grave before I finish knitting this cashmere cardigan. And the first time I wear it won’t be to my own funeral.

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humor, small-town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky and lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs, cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean listen. No graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Each book in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series is a stand-alone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be listened to in any order; however, the characters' lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

Wonderful cozy book and series!

I absolutely love Son of a Stitch, # 5 in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series, by Reagan Davis. The series keeps getting better as it progresses. The characters continue to grow and become more complex as their backstories and all their relationships are revealed. This book involves small town politics and maintaining the integrity of the small Canadian town with its locally owned shops. The story and writing are excellent with twists and turns that keep you guessing. The narration is great except for Eric’s voice, but after 5 books I’m pretty used to it. You can absolutely read each of the books in any order as stand alone stories. I highly recommend the series, and to get the full impact of the characters progression to read them in order.

Stitching up a good mystery

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the way the story kept twisting on you and every time you started to suspect one of the characters it went in a different direction. There is a lot going on and with a number of possible suspects it certainly was entertaining. The mystery worked well and with a different murder weapon and cyber stalking it was unusual for a cosy mystery. All that was great but what I really liked was the small town feel to the story and the characters. I loved all the little old ladies cooking for the burly detective while he is running a yarn shop but the other characters are just as interesting, including the dogs. Don't let the idea of a yarn shop put you off this fun mystery because you don't need to know how to knit. This is book five and I think the series has just gotten better .
Megan is on good turns with her ex husband, in fact her new boyfriend is even good friends with him. So when she and Eric are invited to met his new girlfriend they don't hesitate to go. A few drinks and a missing phone lead the new friends to finding a crashed car in front of Megan's yarn store. Did he have a heart attack? The dead man turns out to be a psychotherapist who has a number of connects to the two couples and when the autopsies result come back, Eric is taken off the case. Roles are reversed and Eric works in the yarn shop while Megan asks questions of her friends. When she gets technical problems with her new computer Megan discovers some very unlikely suspects. But which one killed him? Things get even more complicated when a connection to Eric turns out to be the dead man's new and secretive girl friend. The results to finding the killer is going to turn the town up side down but can Megan and her friends unmask the killer before anybody else gets killed?
I liked the narrator. Other than Eric who talked to slowly she did a good job with the voices.
