About this listen
Are you brave enough to wake the sleeping tiger?
Selina Bruce has impulsively left behind her lawyer fiancé in London and flown alone to a tiny island off the Spanish coast. She is searching for the father she has never known, but what she finds is an unexpected truth about herself and the man she plans to marry. For exotic San Antonio offers Selina more than the penetrating brilliance of the noonday sun. It offers the mysterious George Dyer, who holds the key not only to her past...but to her heart.

Excellent
A much loved book and this production was a delight to listen to. I appreciated the fact that it was simply read and unlike some of the other books by this author I wasn't put off by a narrator voicing all the different characters which puts me off no end.

Good read
As usual Rosamunde Pilcher has produced a therapeutic novel. Fairly predictable but a good tale and well narrated

Shockingly dated ... but enormously enjoyable
This novel is completely outdated nowadays ... there is even a ghastly moment when the "heroine" is slapped.
If you take the book in context of 55 years since publication, I have to say that it is an interesting and amusing read. Highly recommended.
The narration is excellent.

A charming story - just as you’d expect from Rosamunde Pilcher and superbly read by Lucy Paterson
