Summary

A few hard truths: Don't bet on Hasselhoff, Bigfoot might actually exist, and searching for the impossible may lead you to your heart's desire....

It's a big fat hairy deal when I lose yet another bet to my best friend, Rena. Not only do I end up attending Bigfoot meetings with her kooky Aunt Phyllis, I find myself traveling with a band of reality TV, Sasquatch-hunting nut-jobs! Not to mention a suspiciously shady film crew. As if those little nuggets weren't enough to send me on the express train to Crazytown...I stupidly swore off men!

Clearly, all this would mess up any gal's social life, but the worst part of the story? The minute I send my libido on vacation, I meet Mitch. Yep, Mitch, the sexiest cop ev-ah. The hottest, best-kissing, finest tushied single guy I've ever laid eyes on. I'd rather be hot on his trail than anything that involves the word big or foot. But sometimes what you're hunting for has been right in front of you all along....

Entertainingly wacky!

This story features members of the "supporting cast" from Ms Peterman's book "How Hard Can It Be", with some new characters. And they're an entertaining bunch to follow on this pretty mad little escapade. It's an amusing story, with plenty of twists and turns, and the odd hot romance moment. Or several.
Amanda Ronconi turns in her usual excellent performance.
But...
The lead character is very, very similar to the one in the first book, but perhaps a little less bright, and elements of the first book are essentially repeated in this one. The narrative timeline is a bit askew - when they're on location, what do they do all afternoon?
If you listen to this, I'm sure you'll be entertained. If you've listened to "How Hard Can It Be", leave it a while before listening to this one so the repetitions are less obvious.

Keep going!

I wanted to add a review for anyone like me...I have listened to all the stories based on Rena read by Jessica Almasy and love them. Initially I didn't like Amanda's voice (sorry!) and almost considered not finishing the book. But I carried on and as the story got a bit beefier I started to feel more comfortable. Of course we need someone different to read Kristie's life and she does a great job. So persist and you'll find as the story goes deeper and the characters start to flesh out it all starts to work. The sex scenes are written absolutely beautifully. Porn for women really. Robyn does an amazing job balancing the line with humour, sex, passion, intensity ... frankly I've all but had the orgasm myself by the time they are done!

Fun all the way

The plot was a tad predictable in places, but I really enjoyed this audiobook. I giggled from start to finish
