Summary
A search for answers. A long-held secret. A call to destiny.
If you knew your life was about to change for better or possibly a lot worse, would you still go looking for answers?
Evangeline is an orphan, with no memory of her life before she wound up in a children's home.
Now at 18, she is free in the world, with a burning desire to unravel the mysteries of her past. What she unlocks changes her life forever.
The Fates take her out of the only world she has ever known and into the lives of the gifted.
Is it all she ever dreamed of, or were the nightmares that have plagued her for the past 10 years about to become all too real?

A call of a great story
Book 1 in the series. First time I listened to the author and narrator. I like how the author took a Greek myth , the siren , and put her own twist on this story.
Evangeline gets a huge shock when some discovered secrets. Who she really is , not a human . Not only that put she’s the last of her kind. Evangeline finds out who her mother is. She needs to unlock her powers which is locked away all her life. With some help from other sirens how long does it take Evangeline to reach some of her powers
Firect time I heard Michelle Shure. Her voice is okay . She did all the characters good

Enjoyable YA Paranormal story
Siren Calls, the first book in The Rise of Ares, is an excellent start to the series. Jade Frances weaved a fabulous urban/paranormal fantasy tale that wholly captured my attention. The storyline is engaging, packed with mystery, suspense, paranormal elements, and magic. The characters are well-developed, intriguing, and capable; I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics. Hopefully, the second book will be released soon.
Michelle Shure's narration was excellent, capturing the nuances of the characters' personalities and the intensity of the plot. All in all, this was an entertaining and enjoyable audiobook and definitely worth the listen.

Great start to the series
I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Evangeline had suffered nightmares for as long as she could remember . When she left the children’s home she was given a box left to her by her mother so she decided to start looking into where she came from but what she found wasn’t at all what she had bargained for. Enjoyed the story and the characters were great the narration by Michelle Shure was perfect and i am eagerly awaiting book 2.

Baskerville Book Reviews
I wasn’t expecting much out of this book. Most fantasy stories seem to either dump you into the world or give you an entire book full of exposition and world-building. I was pleasantly surprised to find this book included some intense action scenes.
I may be a bit biased in favor of this series. I love stories that have people who fight secret wars while everybody else in the world remains oblivious. I was reminded of some of my favorite series of all time while reading this. Namely, the Vampire Huntress Legend Series, Person of Interest and, Supernatural.
It’s a great starter book to a series and has what I’m going to start calling “part 1 endings”. Where the book ends, but it feels more like you’ve just finished a chapter and need to pick up book 2 to keep going. I prefer this when reading a series vs. books where each story is a self-contained adventure.
I don’t have much to say about the narrator. She was excellent and did a great job of adding emotion to the lines. This is also a rare Audible audiobook that isn’t plagued with repeated dialogue or the clicking of a computer mouse. So bonus points for that.
I recommend this book to anybody who likes fantasy. The characters and their dialogue are well written. The story is engaging and interesting and it does a wonderful job of world building.

What an adventure
What a brilliant adventure story this is of self-discovery. This book will have you gripped from the start, Evangeline is such a likeable character. I am so looking forward to the next adventure, that I am going to dive straight in. I also thought the narrator did an excellent job. Highly recommend.
