About this listen
I might be a cowboy, but I’m no gentleman.
Ten years ago I crossed the line with my younger brother’s best friend. I knew she was in love with me, and I couldn’t resist her. River Adams gave me her innocence on her 18th birthday. I broke her in return and made her hate me. I thought walking away from her would be easy, but I never expected to come face-to-face with everything I gave up. Thanks to a stipulation in my dad’s will, she’s back and we have to live together.
Me.
Her.
My brother Walker, who has carried a torch for her since they were kids.
And, how could I forget, Bishop, the ranch hand who can’t keep his eyes off her?
The years between us may not matter anymore, but the secrets and lies always will. My family has blood on its hands; no one more so than me. If she finds out the truth about Twisted Cross Ranch, she’ll never forgive me. I was born to be the villain, but when she looks at me, I wish I could be her hero.
For fans of Yellowstone, USA Today best-selling authors K. Loraine and Meg Anne bring you a new dark cowboy-mafia why-choose series. Red-hot, gritty, suspenseful, and loaded with angst, Twisted Cross Ranch is the escape you didn’t know you needed. Hang on tight, darlin’, these ain’t your mama’s cowboys.

I’m hooked! Give me more please
And I am hooked! See ya all sometime when I can maybe pull myself away from what is already consuming me in this cowboy world that I am so ready for. Kim and Meg Anne are a duo who know how to weave a story together that holds a gal on your tippy toes wishing for everything they offer. I can’t wait for everything they have to bring us in their new contemporary cowboy world. Giddy up it’s going to be an Amazing Ride!!!!
I loved the look at the past that caused River to run away for years. But being summoned to the Twisted Cross and the reasons for it have shocked her but she’s one smart, tough woman who will stand her ground and find out what is what on this Ranch even when her past is going to catch up with her.
Can she be around Cross after what he did to her back when she was a lovesick girl? And what about her friend Walker who was always there for her growing up, and wow did he grow up nice!!! Then there’s a very handsome, a bit mysterious Ranch hand who also has captured her attention. Will Bishop be the one she can go to when things become scary while trying to figure it all out.
There is already so much going on around the Twisted Cross and things are still hidden. But I believe River will figure it out eventually and along the way we will see who, and how she deals with all the masculinity that surrounds her. There’s something wrong and I hope River stays safe as she tries to find out what is going on.
Plus the present is linked to the past. And both are full of danger and what does it all mean for her being willed the largest portion of the Twisted Cross Ranch.
Every audiobook done by these two amazing authors is carefully crafted with a lineup of fantastic narration in mind. And this audiobook is full of brilliant actors who have already captured my sole with their brilliant performances. Can’t wait to hear more of this series!

loved it
Was looking for a spicy cowboy book and it did not disappoint. There seems to be several storylines going on too making it interesting.
narrators are brilliant. shame its only 5 hours long which is pretty short but I enjoyed it enough to buy the next book in the series despite that.

Best Book I've Read In A While
I loved this book! Every single chapter caught me and I was hooked with nothing else to do but hold on for the wild ride. And the narrators...oh my God. They were so great I was spasming involuntarily—even in public. After the way book one ended, there was no way I wasn't finishing the entire series. This is my first book of both authors but after this series, I'll be going through their books like a free train.

A great first installment that hooked me
That was an interesting introduction to a new series and a new world. A dark world. You get sexy cowboys and ex-military, a sexy setting–River is forced to live in her former friend’s ranch, where’s she’s attracted to her former best friend, his older brother, and their help/bodyguard–and a lot of tension in forced proximity. But you also get all the elements of a romantic suspense, with trafficking, secrets, and mafia enemies. Let’s not forget the male characters’ proclivities, which aren’t yet on paper, but that you can guess pretty well.
The story plays in two time frames really, with one mostly suggested through memories and a few flashbacks. The crux of it is that what happened in the past, which forged the characters’ personality, hangups and traumas, isn’t what it looked like. Without spoiling too much, let’s just say that River’s parents’ death is mysterious, and the Cross brothers didn’t admit their true feelings at the time. And today’s time frame is here to reveal the truth.
We also get a hard look at the Cross family. They’re at the center of the story–their activities, their enemies, their dark past, their dead patriarch… River is the cog threatening to destroy everything.
The Why choose? aspect was okay, mostly because River is the one expressing her interest in each guy and engaging with them. Sure, they aren’t indifferent, and maybe feelings are involved, but she’s far from just the object of their lust: she’s the instigator. It reverses once they get it on, as the men take control, but she isn’t passive either. She knows what–or whom–she wants.
The suspense part was interesting. There were clues about what’s going on behind the scenes–and what went on years before–but it’s still mostly mysterious. Violence, torture and death are on the page. Remember, it’s a dark world. Not for the faint of heart.
The audiobook is duet narration, which is perfect for the tension built between the characters. The narrators really interact and play together, which brings some real emotions. They’re also perfectly cast: Cross junior is adequately grumpy, Walker is the charmer, and Bishop’s inner struggles transpire in his voice. As for the female narrator, she conveys River’s strength pretty well. A great first installment that hooked me, I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Hello, Dirty Cowboys!! Fantastic full-cast duet.
Well, hello dirty cowboys! This book was a delicious surprise treat. I went in completely blind.
Am I glad I did? You bet your cowboy scooting boots I am.
These guys all have their own brand of dirty, and River doesn’t know which she wants. What a hard place to be, I don’t know how she did it. Newsflash - she wants them all! However, this isn’t your regular why-choose situation. There is plot and backstory, secrets and lies, danger and action, and a side of unaliving. I was so engrossed I smashed through it in 24 hours.
There are no spoilers as always, you need to read this book or better yet listen to it. The duet narration style is perfection here. Each voice actor plays a whole host of characters and they all smash it. I never knew I loved a cowboy drawl so much and Aaron, I’m looking at you, your performance as Walker was *chef’s kiss*. Jason not only gets to be a broody cowboy but a Russian baddie too. Love your accent work. J.F. gives us all the secretive dangerous vibes with Stirling, and I was ready to tap River on the shoulder to cut in for a dance. Stirling can take me outside any time 😉! Let’s not forget the leading lady though, Stella is fantastic as River. She gives us all the confusion, exasperation, need, hunger, snooping, and fear so so well. Stella is such an emotive voice actor. This collection of narrators really gets you feeling all the things.
But hang on a minute, that ending. Talk about plot twist and cliffy! I was not prepared and now I’m champing at the bit for book two. I’m desperate for more of these cowboys.

Sinners, Secrets, Suspense & Steam! Fantastic🎧📚🎧
The creative writing team of authors K. Loraine and Meg Anne collaborate to create another outstanding book and the start of a new series. When these two mastermind together, you know that the result will be exceptional. “ Sinner’s Secret” is an intriguing romantic suspense that captivates your attention from the very beginning and holds it hostage straight to the end. River Adams had a crush on Daniel Cross, her best friend’s older brother, and Walker, her best friend, had a crush on her as well. Upon reaching eighteen, River gave herself to Daniel. He took her and her innocence, and he made sure to crush her crush. In the wake of the death of their father, the senior Cross, she is summoned back to Twisted Cross Ranch for the reading of the will of her father. As she was unaware of the purpose of her presence or of the reason for her inclusion in his will, she was even more surprised at what he left her and the restrictions he imposed upon her. Daniel was not happy about it at all, but Walker was ecstatic to have her in his life again. But there is a lot more at play right now and it could be disastrous if she finds out what the ranch business is all about. And since she is an accountant, it won’t take her long to figure out there is more happening than meets the eyes. The chemistry between her and Daniel is hotter than ever, but it is complicated and full of angst, so much angst. She is also drawn to one of the ranch hands, Bishop, who appears to be a little broken, but that does not prevent him from going into protective mode when it comes to River. And Walker gets his chance with her, and Daniel has no say in the matter, or does he? This first book of the series lays down the foundation for what is to come and there are many layers to this story with a lot going on, not at Twisted Cross Ranch, but from the outside, possible competitors or rivals. The writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The drama is non-stop, there is enough angst to blow the roof off, twists and turns that will give you whiplash, thrilling suspense that takes you to the edge of your seat and a reverse harem, why choose romance that is super steamy. Meg Anne and K. Lorraine, thank you for another amazing story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 And what can top this amazing story? An amazing line-up of talent to bring it and its characters to life, from the pages to your ears. Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke, Aaron Sherlock and J.F. Harding are wonderfully talented narrators and they do a fantastic job performing their roles, giving their characters a voice that is fitting and they are believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’s emotions and have you feeling every single on. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exception performance and listen.

On the edge of my seat for the next one!!!
Now that was a cliffhanger I was not expecting! What a fun introduction to the Twisted Cross Ranch and the delicious cowboys that run it. Cross, Bishop and Walker pretty much cover the majority of tropes out there from enemies-to friends-to insta-lovers, and alphaholes. From secrets and snarky banter to stolen moments in public places, River Adams has certainly discovered more than she bargained for when she came home to find the answers to the tragedies in her past. These boys are deep into some shady stuff and this little Sparrow only just scratched the surface of what's really going on.
Fabulous narration by Stella, Jason, JF and Aaron! The duet style/multicast works wonderfully in this story and each performance fits so well together. The emotional intensity and energy each voice actor brings makes it a delight to experience. Beautifully written and cast, the only problem is now I want more!!!

I am obsessed!
Take a cowboy romance but make it dark and why choose. That’s basically SINNER’S SECRET, the first instalment of a new series – and their first joined contemporary one at that – by K. Loraine and Meg Anne in a nutshell. And boy, it worked! I was hooked from start to finish and am anxious to dive into the next book of this series. These books are short – too short if you ask me, I need more goodness, lol –, but heck dis this one already pack a punch!
Have you ever read cowboy mafia before? Yeah, me neither. But it works. Perfectly. Darkly. Beautifully. It’s addicting! And the characters? The way they are brought to life by a high-quality cast in duet? Outstanding! An experience all of its own and most definitely not to be missed:
Brusque, closed off Cross, narrated by the ever-talented Jason Clarke, bringing his grumbly grumpiness to life just perfectly. Next, charming, kind Walker – the sunshine of the bunch –, portrayed by the amazing Aaron Shedlock. I don’t know, there’s just something about this narrator voicing southern accents that I’m a total sucker for. Then there is Bishop, brought to life by another favorite of mine, J.F. Harding. He’s the kind of character you tend to underestimate and who in turn turns to blindside you as the story progresses – which is exactly what this bad boy did. And Mr. Harding enhanced this enigma of a man just perfectly. And finally, River, with her sass and southern charm, given voice by the incredible Stella Hunter, who is another favorite of mine.
So, yeah, this book is mystery, suspense, dark elements and romance, all woven into a unique tale not to be missed. And I have just the feeling that the secrets may run far deeper, be much darker than I anticipated in the beginning. I’m ready!

This is a great series starter!
What a great series starter! Twisted Cross Ranch definitely delivers on the heat, the heart and the intrigue. Can't wait for more!
Sinner's Secret introduces us to River, our FMC, and the three men determined to win her heart and keep her safe. There's Cross, broody and determined to keep his family's ranch running and keep his family safe after his father's death. There's his brother, Walker, who's more playful but still dedicated to the family business, and there's Bishop, the quiet ranch hand who's more than he seems. These characters, individually, are delicious, but when you combine them all, you get a veritable feast of intrigue, sass, grit and spark. They're combustible.
This series features an intrigue plot woven throughout, and must be read/listened to in order. The audio is off the charts amazing, with powerhouse narrators Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke, JF Harding and Aaron Shedlock. Their stellar performances of this gripping story make the time go way too quickly, and then when you reach the cliffhanger ending, you're left craving more. Good thing this series is releasing relatively quickly, because oh, boy, do I need more!
