Listenable but not her best.
If you're a fan of the PortiaxKaren books, it is worth a listen but more subtle smile than laugh out loud.
Lots of blurting, babbling, puffing air from their cheeks, eyebrows shooting up, chuckling and cheekily wiggling eyebrows. And more blurting. Always lots of blurting.
I'm been piling through Portia's novels and loving them, especially with Karen Cass. This one won't be anyone's favourite, Danny, the lead character , is insipid, arrogant and dishonest which meant I couldn't really care what happened. All of the 'drama' was due to her childishness and ego driven lies and without it being backed up with some act of humanity, Danny is 2 dimentional making it hard to see what makes her so attractive.

Been saving this one for Christmas

Rather cheesy even for Chtistmas
I really enjoy Portia MacIntosh books and Karen Cass is my favourite narrator. However I found this one somewhat cheesy, it could have been so much better. The characters seemed rather flat with no depth to them. It tried too hard not one of my favourite books by this author.

A FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS LISTEN 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I loved this festive feel good story. Portia Macintosh always makes her books so down to earth and believable. This is how Christmas books should be, full of festive fun and laughs. I found this Listen so relatable and that is why Portia 's books are so favourable.
Karen Cass is a brilliant narrator and always makes Portia's books come alive.
I rarely give 5 Stars to any book, it has to make me laugh, be consistent, be believable and down to earth. Yes, I recommend this book it was completely worth the credit!

Pretty good
I enjoyed this. It’s not my favourite novel by Portia though! I absolutely love “faking it” and I’ve listened to it several times.

Listened with a huge smile on my face
I absolutely loved this book! I'd loved the previous Christmas visit to Hope Island, in Stuck On You, so was more than happy to find this story set there too.
Hope that Portia is going to make this into a Christmas series set there!
This was a wonderful, light hearted story, with lots of laugh out loud moments and was totally feelgood.
Fabulous writing, combined with Karen Cass' amazing narration - what's not to love? I will definitely be listening more than once! 😊❤

Fun funny lighthearted- loved it!
