Summary
He’s got the hots for his best friend’s dad....
Kiefer has been crushing on Greer since he was a teenager, never imagining anything could happen between them. Then, one night changes everything. Now, the older alpha is all he can think about, and things between them are heating up.
But Kiefer’s best friend Jaxon doesn’t want to see his father hurt, and Kiefer will need to stand strong if he’s going to keep his place at his mate’s side.
Greer has lost it all before. Can he risk his heart again?
A lifetime ago, Greer lost his wife and young child. Since then, he’s sealed off his heart, unwilling to let it be torn out a second time. But when he scents that Kiefer is his fated mate, Greer knows there’s no fighting the bond between them.
A second chance at love is more than Greer ever dreamed of, but a second chance at fatherhood has all of his protective instincts screaming to shield his mate and their unborn child from harm.
Greer’s zealous protection and Jaxon’s resentment might be too much for Kiefer to handle. He loves his mate and the life they could have together, but he refuses to be the reason the pack is torn apart.
Can he and Greer find a way to navigate both the complicated pack and family dynamics, or is their fated bond already doomed to break?

Great series to read and in audio
The author's use of favorite tropes continues in this romance which plays around with the age gap and gay for you tropes. Greer had previously been married to a woman who died in childbirth. He has closed himself off from relationships after that until encouraged by his adoptive son Jaxon whom we met in Homerun Daddy in this series. Little do either of them know that Greer's fated mate is Jaxon's best friend Kiefer who has a daughter with Jason from Doggone Daddy in the series. Jason and Kiefer were not fated mates, however and Jason has moved on to a fated relationship with Trevor. Kiefer has secretly had a crush on Greer since he was a young man and this story details their struggles to overcome past tragedies and build a strong foundation for raising a family. As always, while there is some angst in these stories it is never the deep, dark kind that makes you stop reading to catch your breath. Even through the pain you feel the warmth and decency of the characters and you just know it will all come right in the end. The children, amazingly enough are always wonderful in this series, regardless of their age. I find in some series the author does not know how to write spunky, independent children and/or babies that aren't just a bit irritating and bratty. If that is a concern for you, have no fear here. Guillaume Dubois does a great job with the narration here in what must have been a very difficult job. You have multiple adult males that must be distinguishable and children as well and he handles all with great aplomb.

A Pack with heart
Really enjoyable read with drama, heart and all the feels.
This was the first I've read if Liam's and won't be the last. There was a cheeky soft cliffhanger that has be itching for the next book but I feel the Pack and their stories are what's got me hooked. Each character has their own story, past, pain and baggage, but it's how this shaped these characters and how they move forward from it that got me all mushy 😜
This was a new narrator to me and I feel like they did a fantastic job. great range, easy to listen to and really expressive performance

Keifer and Greer
Fated mates story. Greer is the silver daddy in his 50's living alone since his wife's death, he was Alpha of the pack until he handed it down to his son Jackson, Keifer is human and one of Jackson's best mates who as a teenager had a crush on Greer. Now in his 30's knowing about the wolves he heads to a Claiming ceremony, where Greer pursues him. It has its ups and downs but everything works out in the end. Beautifully written and narrated

An age-gap romance...About time!
After all the wonderful stories we got the opportunity to read in this series it was time the author included an age gap romance. The love story of Greer and Keifer is one of the best because showed us a different dynamic inside the pack and you could witness another side not so good of Jaxon trying to protect his father. Love is love regardless age gap so.... Also the general plot and the interaction between clans is changing and danger is now expected. It will be so ineresting to discover what is the explanation of all the mystery and how the author develops it! Of course, the cherry on top is the amazing performance of Mr Dubois in a very energetic and charismatic narration full of emotion. I can't wait to hear the next book in the series!

Age gap and human/shifter
You can't go wrong with a second chances age gap. I loved the twist of the shifter vs human and the fact that it was his son's best friend as his fated mate. A fun, quick listen!

Super sweet
A super sweet story by Liam Kingsley. Greer and Kiefer has an amazing journey, and I was happy to listen to it. Gaillaume Dubois did a super job with the narration, he brought the characters to life.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Really enjoyed
I really enjoyed listening to this book and following Greer work to get his fated mate Keifer, this is an age gap book as Keifer is friends with Greer’s son. They have a few hurdles to overcome.
