A Lovely Listen 3🌟🌟🌟
I really enjoyed listening to the second book in the 'Bluebell Cliffs' series.
It was so different this time as it was about a family and also behind the scenes of making a dating show which I found absolutely fascinating ~ I loved learning about all of that.
Also it reminded me of my own family as we have 'Family Breakfast' on the 1st Saturday morning of every month.
Laura Kirman is such a fab narrator, her voice reminds me of Gabrielle Glaister.
I do recommend this book as It was a happy one😀

Worth a listen
Memories of this book are of a dating show in the making. It wasn't the best Della Galton and I much preferred the first one, but I do like a series and maybe the next will be better. Plus there were moments and characters that made it worth a listen. And some bits were more interesting, like a sunset beach setup. Well written as Della Galton can write well, it was perhaps the subject matter that didn't grab me much.

Nice story but unnecessarily drawn out
It’s an enjoyable albeit predictable story (which isn’t a bad thing). It got dragged out a bit though. Found myself fast forwarding a lot, especially in the last third of the story.

*Delightful Tale*
This instalment of the series focuses on Poppy Allen. She is a producer who comes up with an idea for a tv show. It will be a dating show called ‘Date for a Day’ a mixture of ‘Take me Out’ and ‘It’s a Knockout’.
Poppy has not been lucky in love and was left heartbroken when the love of her life runs off with her best friend. She locks up her heart and her stepsister who is a workaholic and offers to star in the show with the hope of finding love.
The setting is wonderful all set around the Dorset beaches and while Poppy is busy matchmaking there is a surprise turn of events when unexpectedly two hearts beat together that are not on the show. When Poppy realises this to everyone else it is glaringly obvious.
The story is predictable but I like how Della Galton navigates the story to the desired outcome. A light and easy summer read.
