"Shiver a fantastic read"

Loved the book it was well written and sensitive. The descriptions of the wolves and the love for them was lovely. Parents were not so good and she seemed very well rounded for a young woman left to herself so much!! But the love story was fantastic and tear jerking so just relax and enjoy !!!!!!!!

This is the book that shaped my whole reading future

Captivating, sweet, beautiful. When I think back on my reading history, it all comes down to this book. I first read it when I was 11 years old. I felt so mature reading this, I must have finished it in 2 days. I’d read plenty of books before, sure but this one was different. It was the first book that really made me feel something. I longed to be Grace. I often wonder if I had never read this, would I have such a passion for reading now? Listening to the audiobook brings back a ton of memories. A young adult book I would recommend to anyone. If you’re searching for an audiobook to gift a young family member or friend, pick this! It might change their whole outlook on reading and set them up for a love of books!

Bewitching!

This book was a really wonderful surprise. The story is involving, with a fresh twist on an old genre staple. It is complex enough to hold the interest, without losing the forward momentum of the story. It is wonderfully romantic and sweet without being too saccharine, and it took me until part two of the download to realise it was aimed at a younger audience. I am 28, and I was riveted. I would highly recommend this to any romantic, and I am eargerly awaiting the next in the trilogy, Linger.

beautiful love story

For anyone who was caught up in the romance of Edward and Bella, let me introduce Grace and Sam. Grace has had a fascination with wolves ever since her close encounter with a pack when she was a child. One wolf in particular draws her. Sam is a werwolf eventually doomed to lose his humanity altogether. During his final year as a human, he meets Grace. Having found each other, the young lovers must fight to the death (literally) to stay together. Beautifully written and told from the perspectives of both protagonists, this is a moving, highly enjoyable romance with just the right touch of the paranormal.

Beautiful read!

I'm in my 20s, not the target demographic for YA, still, I think this has become my new favourite romance novel! I loved escaping into the world of Grace and Sam's romance, and I found the way Maggie Steifvater writes pretty captivating. As for the narration, I really enjoyed Jenna Lamia as Grace. I don't feel like David LeDoux's voice was suited to Sam's personality, but other than that he was a good narrator. I preferred when he did Beck's voice.

I rarely read entire series, but this is one of those books I will have to read the rest of the series of. Or, at least the second book.

Breathtakingly beautiful

It is always a pleasure to find an audiobook that grabs your attention from the first sentence. Maggie's words are beautifully written and the two narrators make Shiver a mesmerising listen that you just want to endulge in more and more. I commend Maggie for being one of the handful of authors to write something that makes me shed a tear. This may be aimed at Young Adults but where love and sorrow are involved, anyone can be hooked. I am and now eagerly moving on to the sequel, Linger.

Shiver me Timbers...

A fantastically addictive and well written book with everything you could want from a story. Stiefvater's descriptions are beautiful and the plotline is at a perfect pace - not too much action, but more than enough to be interesting and addictive. The characters are relatable (even to non teen readers like me!) and will appeal to fans of Bella and Edward. You will fall in love with the characters right from the word go. I cannot recommend highly enough!
