Summary

Violet has a secret that could change the lives of everyone she knows and loves, especially the regulars at the run-down café bar where she works. After losing her parents at a young age, they are the closest thing she has to a family, and she feels responsible for them.

Kai is a jaded music producer, who has just moved outside of town. Seeking solitude from the stress of his job, he’s looking for seclusion. The only problem is he can’t seem to escape the band members and songwriters who keep showing up at his house.

When Kai wanders into the bar and Violet’s life, he accidently discovers her closely guarded secret. Can Kai help her rediscover her self-confidence or should some secrets remain undiscovered?

Loved it

Have been glued to this story between a Friday afternoon sitting outside the vets waiting for my Westie to come out after an ultrasound and a very rainy Sunday. I loved this story by Lizzie Chantree, though I have to admit it's not the first of hers I've come across...it is the first of her audiobooks though... somewhere near the end, it seemed that the narrator changed, though I think it was just the tone etc thinking back on it... there were one or two errors in the narration, so guess that is down to the publisher, but absolutely loved the story and learning all about our singer with the angelic voice and her life. As usual, as I have discovered, Lizzie's books have a happy ending, but it is well worth a listen and is of interest to anyone who enjoys their heartstrings being pulled, with some humour along the way :) Overall, loved it and look forward to listening to more of Lizzie Chantree's books :)

Enjoyable and easy listening

This wasn't a genre that I would normally go for, but it was interesting and kept my attention. I did want to know more and what captivated me was the narration. Claire is a very gifted narrator.

It was an easy listen during the hot week that we had in the UK.

I was given a free copy by the narrator but that in no way influenced my review.
