About this listen
In The Sign of Four, the great detective, Sherlock Holmes, famously says: "... when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth ...".
Eliminate the Impossible collects six canonical tales in which Holmes and Watson encounter mummies, angels, phantoms, invisible assassins, and arcane machines ... or so it might appear to those without a carefully stocked brain attic.
From Medieval London, to the snow-capped mountains Turkey, from dusty Admiralty vaults, to the glitz and glamour of the Orient Express, from the days of fledgling friendship, to the backdrop of World War I, this new collection invites you to celebrate deduction, forensic science, and logic ... and Eliminate the Impossible.

Rip-Roaring tales
A splendid collection of engaging stories with delightful twists and ingenious plots. Very accessible for the casual Holmes fan but PERFECT for the Doyle aficionado who has consumed every morsel of his work but hungers for more...

Total enjoyment
Paula Hammond has written this collection of Sherlock Holmes mysteries in a voice that rings true to the originals. Dr Watson leads us through London, and beyond, in six tales of adventure and intrigue as he accompanies Holmes in his investigations. In some tales I caught the subtle clues without knowing how to interpret them and in others I was as baffled as Watson before Holmes' forensic explanation. As a Londoner myself, the notes at the end of each chapter gave more information and historical or scientific explanations which only added to my enjoyment. An absolutely cracking read (or listen, in my case!)
