Summary

Violet Jeffries meets Gavin McKenzie and she becomes confused and unsure of her love for her fiancé, Miles Croft. She breaks the betrothal and then discovers that Gavin has a hidden agenda. Miles comes to her rescue twice, but keeps his distance from her. Violet realizes her mistake - too late. She's lost the most loving and devoted man, and she fights to get him back.

Not as good as Shadow of second Chance

I liked it to begin with but when the book progress I found that I did not like the characters as much as I thought I did. I also did not believe in Gavins problem. If he did have a problem like this then he would have had a bit more of a past.
Violet I did not like at all. I found her to be selfish and naive. I did not believe in her love in Miles. When she broke up with him she did not feel anything! If she truly loved him but was confused she should have felt some, like, uncertainty, at least. As for miles, well he just gave up! What kind of love is that! If he truly loved her he would have kept trying to win her over, but he just gave up.
As you can see this is not my favourite book, but I did like Shadow of second chance where we meet some of the characters from this book.
