Summary

For years now, Scarlett Bernard has counted on two things: her ability to nullify magic, and Shadow, the bargest who guards Scarlett with her life. But after a sudden revelation turns Scarlett's world upside down, she panics and leaves town without warning, leaving Shadow with her partner, Jesse. In the chaos that follows, the bargest is stolen - and Jesse nearly dies from a brutal psychic assault.

It seems that an old enemy has returned for revenge...and the attack on Shadow was only the beginning. As Scarlett races home to find the bargest and rescue her friends, she is dragged deeper into a terrifying legend that has somehow found its way to present-day Los Angeles.

Now she will have to recruit every possible ally for a battle that will test her null ability to the limit. Scarlett has been in over her head before, but now she risks losing everything...and she's never had more to lose.

Great

As usual a good strong story line. Well written all descriptions, action scenes are easy to picture. Dialog is informative and humorous. Loved it.

Best one yet

If you could sum up Shadow Hunt in three words, what would they be?

Great story arc

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well Scarlett obviously but I’m also loving Shadow

What about Amy McFadden’s performance did you like?

Used to her doing these books. She always delivers with good timing distinct voices for the major characters and says the words with feeling

Any additional comments?

It’s a help if you have read or listened to the previous books as it pulls together characters from the original Scarlett Barnard series and also the Boundary Magic series. This is probably the best of the lot though with a great story with really good development of the characters. The Epilogue certainly sets up another book which I can’t wait for

Awesome

I am so glad I bought 5 and 6 together the cliff hanger at the end of 5 wow! Those last two words (mind blown) can’t say I did not wonder if it could happen during that scene in Las Vegas!

We are back in LA but we do pop to Boulder Colorado and we meet up with Lex, she is from another series that this writer writes set in the same world, but she is not a null. She has been in this series before normally on the phone. Sasha also comes back in this book as well. Scarlett and Molly meet maven (normally seen in Lex’s books) their reactions are amazing! Loved it!
There are a lot of moments in this book, where you can’t stop listening to as you need to know what’s going to happen. This became a problem for me when I was only going to listen to one chapter before bed and I couldn’t stop listening. I really enjoyed this story and am hoping to hear more soon.
