About this listen
If you want to learn about the earliest extant work on Jewish mysticism and the primary source for students of Kabbalah, then pay attention....
Considered the foundational document of Kabbalah, the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Foundation) is both esoteric and revolutionary. Its influence on both mystical and traditional thinking in Judaism is inestimable in the commentaries and other writings it's instigated over many centuries.
Sefer Yetzirah is no longer the province of mystics only. Today, it holds a pivotal place in Jewish Theology. As the primary source (with Sefer ha-Bahir) to present the sefirot as the emanations of God, its Creation narrative is realized through the minds of centuries of sages, coming down to us in the voice of this fascinating document.
In this audiobook, you'll discover the presence of Oral Torah through Jewish history and how it interacts with works like Sefer Yetzirah. You'll discover the books of Mishnah and Gemara in Talmud and the intersections of these sources and commentaries about them.
The two Talmuds - Babylonian and Jerusalem - will also be discussed. All this, to better understand the world of Sefer Yetzirah and what it means within its twin frameworks of oral and written Torah and Kabbalah.
In this audiobook, you will:
- Learn the idea of the three-fold creation
- Listen to an in-depth discussion of the sefirot, divided into 3 chapters
- Understand Tzimtzum (the contraction of the Divine), Shevirot ha-Kelim (the breaking of the vessels) and Reshimu (the remnants)
- Learn about the Four Worlds and Adam Kadmon
- Understand the Golem and Sefer Yetzirah
- Discover linguistic mysticism, Abraham Abulafia, and NLP
- Learn about Gematria, Notarikon and Temurah as Kabbalistic hermeneutical tools

For the serious student
Incredibly informative, the text stands for itself. Extremely helpful, as are the recommendations concerning the "practical" use of Sefer Yetzirah. Highly recommend.

For those who seek to work towards the path to heavenly mansions. And don't expect I believe in him to forgive me to get them there.

Truly horrendous. Incredibly bad pronunciation.
Incredibly bad pronunciation of Hebrew, and each sentence is pronounced like it is a question. Sentences sound cut in half too, making it clear where cutting happened in the audio. I am not sure about the contents, because the audio performance is so distracting and poor.
