About this listen

For 10 years, I’ve been using a magical sword that I won in battle to ruthlessly slay enemies, break evil artifacts, and open stubborn pickle jars, but I don’t know much about it.

That’s about to change.

Thanks to the fact that I’m dating a powerful dragon, I can get a ride to the dwarven home world, and we’re going to research the sword's roots. Not that I care much about its history, mind you, but several allies and enemies have suggested it can do a lot more than whack things. Considering the magical bad guys I fight are always stronger, faster, and more powerful than I am, I need every advantage I can get.

There’s just one problem: A half-dwarf thief has shown up and says she’s the rightful heir to the sword.

I want to believe it’s a scam and can’t possibly be true, but I didn’t get the sword in the most legitimate manner. If I have to give it up, I might not be able to do my job anymore, and just as bad, I’ll be a target for all the bad guys who have been waiting for an opportunity to take me down.

Can't wait for Book 9

I'm not gonna lie and say this was the best book in the series, it wasn't. It was however still an exceptional addition to an already really fun series. It has some really good laugh of out loud moments, as well as some heartfelt ones. The blurb mentioned thief fell a bit flat for me personally, but it didn't detract that much from the story. All in all a solid entry to the series.

Outstanding

Lindsay you have truly outdone yourself with this series. I have followed your writings for a while. I am pretty sure I have listened to or have read most of your published works.

I am thoroughly enjoying DBD. Zav and Vals relationship is the cutest and I am to enthralled by the narrative.

Keep up the good work. Stay Safe.

Secret of The Sword II

I enjoyed the flow of the storyline which helped to make me get invested in the characters. In addition, the humor was brilliant in all of the series. 🥰

If only I could roll my eyes too.

I’m so pleased they kept the same narrator for this episode. The dialogue remains engaging and humerus and you might find yourself screaming at the characters at times, but it’s worth it. The dryness of certain individuals adds flavour and value. A really great read. 10/10. What’s next?
