About this listen
From Million-Copy Best Seller Jasper T. Scott
Comes the stunning conclusion of the Ascension Wars series....
The Road to Salvation Is Paved in Blood
With a fragile peace established in the Enclave between humans and Chimeras, both species must learn to put aside their differences to ensure their continued survival. But racial tensions are simmering just beneath the surface, ready to explode.
Meanwhile, Clayton and Samara’s daughter, Dora, might be the answer that everyone is looking for: her immunity to both strains of the Chimeran virus could soon lead to a cure, making it possible to establish new settlements beyond the Enclave.
Mysteriously, the Kyra’s reinforcements never arrived to blockade and quarantine Earth. Clayton worries that it’s because the Kyra are losing the war to the Chrona. He’s no friend of either side, but the Kyra might actually be the lesser evil. He wants to take the Enclave’s stolen transport beyond Earth to learn what’s going on. Yet, when Clayton learns of a sinister plot within the Enclave that directly threatens his family, he’s forced to execute his plans early.
With old enemies lurking in the shadows, nothing goes as planned, and little does Clayton know, the revelations waiting beyond Earth are far more shocking than he ever could have imagined....

Unexpected conclusion
The story arc of the series was very enjoyable and loved the characters. If you have enjoyed the first 3 books then you must finish it and the conclusion is unexpected but no less heart aching and beautiful.

Big Fan of JTS what a series
Having only just read the finale at the end of September I'd been lucky enough to be given the chance to have a free audio copy from Jasper himself (well via)
I pretty much listened to it in two sessions last night before bed and today and once again thoroughly enjoyed it haven't listened to an audio so quickly.
I can't recommend this full series of four books enough. I got the first book free though book bub and I'm so glad I read it as I couldn't wait for the rest.
I'm a fan of Jasper now. If only I could read all the books I want in minutes I'd be a happy man so I could get though his back catalogue in an instant.
For some reason I forgot the ending to this but on second thoughts I was recovering from a bad case of that virus that's made the headlines for the past year.
You won't be disappointed in this story. 5🌟 thanks Jasper 👍

Great series but this book is a lack luster ending
Overall this is a okay book, if your wanting a good performance along an interesting post-apocalypse sci-fi book, you will get a good time from this.
BUT.....and we all know that anything said before the word "but"...... is well....
The ending of this book is just not good, it is neither satisfactory or makes sense. I get this is sci-fi but come on.
The ending is a deus ex machina with little logic or explanation. There where so many ways this book could have ended or ways the author could have played with the story points that they had established. The way they chose to end the book feel more like they aretrying to make a poorly contrived attempt at explanation of how humanity was created.
My personal bias aside the pacing of the book with major plot points is terrible with the author using time skips to go past open story threads, sometimes just using the excuse "welp everyone died" with no further action. The ending wasn't great for me but overall it was an okay book.
The performance was pretty good nothing to compliment or complain about there.
To the author:
Please do more research before you write endings like this one. I get its a fiction book but dude you did so well in the first 3 books, why ruin it with this ending.
