Summary

On the joyful day of her son’s birth, Thais Derich never questioned going to the hospital. A week later, she walked out physically, spiritually, and emotionally injured and fully disabused of the idea that the medical field would ever put her best interests before protocol, money, and legal concerns. loved this book

this book put words to my feelings after suffering fron birth trauma. i will be listening to it again when i get pregnant again. it left me feeling optimistic, but also angry at our current health care systems. thanks to all the women fighting our corner, for those of us who wish for a natural birth
