Summary

Two love matches made. One to go.

Even though two of his best friends have settled down, Wes Lancaster is determined not to get sucked into some siren's web. As owner of the professional football team the New York Mavericks and the wildly successful BAD restaurant, his lifestyle is full as it is.

Well, it was, until Winnie Winslow - the new sexy, stiletto-wearing team physician - trash-talks him in the locker room without batting an eye. Now he can't stop himself from wanting her.

The only girl in her parents' brood of five, she's as outspoken as she is beautiful and the kind of woman who holds her own - and then some.

Always competitive at heart, if he's going all in for love, Wes sure as hell wants a win-win.

Prepare to get a little dirty, because this one might go into overtime. Game on.

A Great included listen.

I’ve only just discovered MaxMonroe, but have just listened to this trilogy back to back. Each book was a great as the one before. Whilst the format is similar, the storyline was good, and not too short or long. All 3 books were exceptionally narrated by the same pair, and really helped bring the story to life. This book, and the two previous ones contain plenty of humour, excitement, and the hot stuff we listeners love.
Each book is standalone if you’d prefer just one, but they do have connections to each other, which I think makes them even more enjoyable. I don’t like unfinished stories and being forced to buy extra books when a story has just been cut up.
💯recommend all 3 books in this trilogy👍

Fantastic characters

These characters are so good. With the main couple falling fast and the cutest little girl they need to be careful. A great performance.

Really enjoyed this one too!

I really enjoyed this book in the series with great characters and narrators. The reference to autism and experiences was nice as my children are and it gave a different perspective. I enjoyed listening and will listen to the next thank you.

Brilliantly funny with lots of steam

There aren't enough words to describe how hilarious this book is. It's such an enjoyable read, and the narration is great.

Ok story, missed opportunity?

I’ve listened to three of the books in the series and I have to say Georgia’s my favorite. I was expecting lot more intelligence from Wes from the build up over the first two books but was a little disappointed. Didn’t like Wyn’s character either! Too much references to the C word as well, although I’m no prude. Loved Lexi’s character as well!

Fell in love with the characters

Chacters felt so relatable and real. I like the way Max Monroe get me invested in their characters. Awesome read. Wes worked for it by showing her!

Falls well short of the mark in this series

On the plus side, simply put, Thatch 😍.
The story itself was just OK.

Now for the rest, Wes and Winnie are not my favourite couple at all. Possibly my least favourite out of the 15+ Max Monroe's various series I've read so far. Which is weird, as I sort of liked Winnie in each of the other books she appears in, but found her hard to like once she is centre stage of her own book.
Her, what feels like, never-ending and circular monologues seem to run on for daaaays and were beginning to bore me to tears, I haven't checked to be sure, but it seemed like her chapters were longer than Wes' that, or she seems to be very wordy 🥱. So much so, I actually started skipping through a few of her paragraphs from around chapter 20 (I think) 🙈
I don't know why I'm just not feeling this book, maybe i found it more humourless in comparison to all the others.
Hopefully, I will like it better on the next reread, after I have finished all the linked series.
