a good introduction

I wasn't sure exactly what Scientology was. people just said it was a crazy cult. This book did a great job of confirming those assertions.

THE THOUGHTS THAT INFLUENCED NATIONS

What made the experience of listening to Scientology the most enjoyable?

Scientology encapsulates what it means to be human. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book as I could really relate to it, I believe most people would because that's who it is written about. Its a self help book and nothing short of inspiring! I have like you read many negative opinions about Scientology however, seen nothing threatening or cult like from the pages of this book. I believe in life you should always arrive at your own conclusions about something and if you believe it to be right or wrong, good or bad, that's all that really matters because we are all different at the end of the day and life wouldn't be much fun if we weren't.

Academic paper

This was written at the time when scientology was claiming to be a science, not a religion It's written like an academic paper with lots of made up terms and nonsensical concepts. I think the idea is to make the reader want to join the scientologists in order to understand the "science". It had the opposite effect on me.
