Summary

Scarlet receives another cryptic message during her late night call-in show. The man believes she’s responsible for his friend’s disappearance. Scarlet dismisses the accusation until she learns the missing girl and James’ sister, Amy, have a connection. Cedar Acres, the beautiful and tranquil care facility Amy calls home is also the last place the missing young woman was seen.

Where is Amy? What happened to the missing girl and will Tom and Scarlet’s true identity be discovered?

With the aid of quirky aliases, spy gadgets, and bloodhounds, Scarlet and friends discover Cedar Acres is far from what it appears.

Don't banish this book because it's to good

Wow, I really enjoyed this book. This is book three in the series and the rest of the books are well worth a listen too. The book could be a stand alone book but you would miss out on all the history between the characters and two other very enjoyable reads. I love the quirky characters and there unique way of solving the mysteries from the undercover acting to the spy gadgets, making it very entertaining and a book you won't want to hit the pause button while In the middle of. The story does jump between characters as Scarlet and all her friends get in on the action in order to solve the murder, even Scarlet's pet pig gets into character. The mystery was good with plenty of plot twists as it unfolds. All in all a good light hearted cozy mystery that will leave waiting for the next book in the series to come out.
Scarlet while on air at the local radio station gets another caller claiming to know about a murder. With no other information she can't follow through until the phone call in tracked back to the very same place as her boyfriend James sister is a resident of. The very same place he has been denied access to. Worried about hopefully her future sister in law Amy, Scarlet and her friends hatch an elaborate plan to bust her out of the care home by going in under cover, armed with lots of spy gadgets. But finding Amy in the home proves to be difficult and the more they investigate the more they don't like what is happening because the missing girl the caller phoned in about isn't the only person to have gone missing. Can Scarlet and her friends find out what is really going on at the care home?
I liked the narrator and thought she did a really good job of bringing the characters to life with there own unique voices.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book.

From cute pet pigs and evil doers this was a delicious little cosy mystery at Cedar Acres care facility. Something is going on with missing residents and Scarlet is soon playing amateur sleuth hot on the case. As a heroine, she's fantastic, witty and fun, so are her circle of friends.

Narration by Kimberley Wetherhall really brings this story to life. Each character was distinct and the performance is a credit to her skill.

I don't want to give any spoilers, but this is a perfect tale for curling up with a cuppa coffee and your own quirky four-legged companion, or some candles and a soak in the tub. This is the third in the series and I listened to it hungrily after books 1 & 2.
