About this listen
Stormy
I don’t seek out gorgeous men with psychotic tendencies,
But damn if they don’t have a way of finding me.
Beautifully broken. Endlessly tempting.
Each day at work, my brooding Irish boss acts like he wants nothing to do with me. And every night, he stalks me like I’m the very air he breathes.
So why haven’t I tried to escape him? Maybe he’s not the only one who’s a little broken.
Torin
I’ve never known obsession until now.
I hate the way it feels.
The conflict.
The cravings.
Stormy Lawson consumes my every thought.
I yearn to punish her for being so damn irresistible.
I ache to own her, so I never have to know life without her.
But more than anything, I’m compelled to slaughter anyone who comes between us.
Ruthless Salvation is the third book in The Byrne Brothers series. Each book in the series features a different couple and can be listened to as a stand-alone with a happily ever after, but for maximum enjoyment, follow the recommended listening order.
Content Warning: A dark romance with adult themes, Ruthless Salvation may not be suitable for sensitive audiences. It deals with matters of domestic violence (not between the main characters), pregnancy, loss, and infertility. For a more detailed list of possible content triggers, you can visit the books tab on my website.
A Note from the Author: Take the grumpy/sunshine trope, sprinkle in a little mafia and a whole lot of over the top possessiveness, and you have Torin and Stormy’s story. It’s heart-wrenching and seductive yet still tender and playful. This one has all the feels, so buckle up!
For those of you who are new to me, I write what I'd call "mafia lite". My heroes are hardened criminals with soft spots for their heroines. There may be violence and cruelty in my books, but never between the main characters. Enjoy!

A great narrating duet from Stribling & Hamilton
Every time Jill Ramsower releases a new book, I instantly fall in love with her latest hero and Torin in Ruthless Salvation is right up there. He was so protective of Stormy…... well, some might say he was obsessive but hey, potato, potahto! Anyway, he just looking out for Stormy the only way he knew how. They had a bit of a grumpy/sunshine relationship with Stormy always ready to tease the taciturn Torin. Both had been hurt in the past and had trust issues as a result although Stormy who’d had a particularly brutal experience didn’t let it shape her, at least not on the surface. I loved how her back story was interspersed through the book. She was always ready to run at a moment's notice until Torin decided her running days were over. He was ready to do whatever it took to ensure her protection, even going against his family if that’s what it took. With wonderful characters with sizzling chemistry and a fantastic revenge-based plot plus appearances from the couples from the previous books and I was one listener.
I loved Amanda Stribling’s portrayal of Stormy. Her southern accent sounded perfect to this listener and matched my impression of what a southern belle should sound like. All Stormy’s emotions, her hopes and fears were more than apparent in her performance which was evenly matched by Teddy Hamilton as the gruff and moody Torin Byrne who came with his own dark secrets. Together this fantastic narrating duet brought the characters in this book to life, making Ruthless Salvation a wonderful listening experience.

The best of romantic suspense!
Jill Ramsower is one of the authors that keeps my love of romantic suspense alive. This third book in her Byrne Brothers series is action packed, not only physically, but the psychological aspect is the kind of writing that keeps me coming back. After the death of her adoptive parents, Stormy decides to go to Russia to seek out her family history. What she get there though is a man that is obsessed with her and will do anything to keep her. His cruelty has her fleeing back to the states and hiding. Now it's several years later, and she is working for Torin. His line of work is far from being above board, and while their attraction is real, she does what she can to keep him at arms length. But it's impossible. And when her past catches up with her, she gets to see exactly who she is now involved with. Is history repeating itself? Will she ever be safe? Ramsower masterfully pens an alternating past and present story that is seamless. I was captivated from the start and could not wait to see how this was all going to end. Suspense and romance at it's best, this is surely one not to be missed.
Teddy Hamilton and Amanda Stribling are our story tellers, and boy, do they narrate this one! Hamilton has Torin down with an alpha, over protective, almost stalking vibe. I loved it!!! Stribling gives Stormy that strong, yet one the edge of scared feel, always looking over her shoulder. I loved this team as they brought this thriller alive.

Sweet
Another troubled, taciturn Byrne brother who needs the love of a good woman to bring him out of darkness.
Didn't like Stormy as the gullible southern belle in Russia, taken in by smarmy charm and money. Got hooked after the Russian attacked Stormy in her apartment and Torrin sprang into action with his strategic warfare against Damian.
Best of Byrne brothers series so far. Now for final part of series, after that intriguing set up at the wedding reception.

Great Story & Narration🎧 Intriguing & Twisted!
Wow, this book blew me away like no other, the story not only grabbed my attention and held it hostage the entire time, but it tugged at my heartstrings too. My heart went out to the two lead characters, Torin Byrne and Stormy Lawson, both had issues and baggage that weighed them down, though Stormy hides it well, compared to the grumpy Torin. Stormy has been running from her past for almost five years, but she likes where she is now, has made some friends, and enjoys her job working at the club. Torin has had his eye on Stormy, he does not let anyone to get close to him, so he protects her from a distance. Stormy is on to him and goes along with it until he crosses a line. The chemistry between them is undeniable, and there was only so long they could deny each other. Stormy does not have the best track record with men, especially over possessive men. Torin is not looking for more, figures he just needed to get her out of his system, or so he thought, because he just can’t help himself or stay away. And when her past catches up to her, she is ready to run, but not if Torin can help it, and once she comes clean, he vows to help her and keep her safe. This story is absolutely amazing, the writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, and so are the character growth and development.. It alternates timelines, taking us into the past to show what Stormy went through and what brought her to where she was in the present. Her story is not an easy one and was heartbreaking to hear, but she survived and, with Torin and his brother’s help, she will prevail. There is never a dull moment in this romantic suspense, it has plenty of drama, angst, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Jill Ramsower, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Amanda Stribling and Teddy Hamilton were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable. Stribling nailed it as Stormy, grasping every aspect of her personality, from her southern charm to her strength and her determination. Hamilton was spot-on with his take on Torrin, playing the bossy and possessive alpha perfectly. Both were equally amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Torin and Stormy!
Stormy is a woman who barely managed to escape her past and since then it has been a fight to stay ahead of it. She has found a place that is beginning to feel like home but due to her past she is cautious about her boss’s possessive nature and is determined to protect those she cares about from the secrets of her past.
Torin is also damaged by the events of his past but as much as he knows he needs to distance himself from Stormy he can’t. He is determined to protect her and is jealous of any other man’s attention, but he realizes that is pushing her away rather than bringing her closer. When the danger of her past resurfaces, he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.
Both Torin and Stormy bear the scars of the past, but they also understand each other in a way that few others would. The chemistry between them was intense but it was the way they trusted each other with their past that made their relationship so special. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they only made this romantic and suspenseful story better.
