About this listen

When a two-thousand-year-old curse is the only thing keeping you safe, you should probably just leave it alone.

Here’s the problem—the curse is now breaking itself. The sanctuary is crumbling, Pell’s anger issues come with a new destructive voice, Pie has no control over her spellings, and Tomas is trying to convince himself that, one day, Madeline is going to love being a dragon.

Add in an old friend (minus her couch and plus a big blue bus filled with orphan kids), a new version of Granite Springs where the devil lives in a bar, a hundred monsters reliving the teenage-years they never had, and a date to a prom in 1982 and we’re getting close to the chaos that’s coming.

Other worlds are calling, the new doors act like hallways, and nothing that mattered before matters now. The world is quickly changing, and when the curse finally breaks for good, will there be anything left?

Royal Beasts is the third book in the Monsters of Saint Mark's series, a rompy paranormal ancient-Roman-gods rom-com. The series must be listened to in order.

Contains a special note from the author, JA Huss (writing here under her pen name, KC Cross).

Brilliant!

For me JA Huss is a shining star. I know I am going to be entertained, thrilled, delighted, and thoroughly mind blown by her writing each and every time. I live that she can write in so many genres and that each book is a fresh spin on a story that has been crafted out of JA's imagination. As always, both Hathaway Lee and Jason Clarke bring all the words, twists and turns, emotions, fun and excitement roaring to life. I just cannot stop listening and this is a huge gift. So thank you JA, Jason and Hathaway. Over the last few weeks you have accompanied me on journeys round the UK, at home and in France. Wonderful 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Another brilliant listen!

I am running out of books by JA Juss/KC Cross to read so very glad to have this 3rd book in this series to listen to. Definitely my favourite author! Such clever twists and writing. And as ever, the narration of her books - here by Hathaway Lee and Jason Clarke was superb. Jason Clarke is fast becoming one of my very favourite narrators - he does male and female voices and different accents very convincingly and here his accent for Tomas is brilliant. But his deep growly voice is the best! Just have to keep relistening!
