Listen to Lorca’s poems in a voice from the past
The voice here is that of Margarita Xirgu who was a contemporary and close associate of the poet. She acted many of his female leads in his plays. She sounds strong, old fashioned and dramatic. I feel very lucky to be able to hear the works of Lorca read by someone who actually knew him and whose work he admired.
