About this listen

Arguing that North Korea is little more than a carefully constructed Chinese puppet state, the author looks into the heart of this "rogue nation" and finds the Chinese behind much of the terrorism and nuclear weapons manufacturing on the Korean peninsula.

Editor reviews

A former chief Republican counsel to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, William C. Triplett II provides a thoroughly researched look at how North Korea has become a new threat in the nuclear arms race. Rogue State, performed with an unsettling chilliness by Bruce Mann, also works as an indictment of former North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il, but perhaps the most provocative argument made by Triplett is his assertion that North Korea is merely a puppet state for China. Listeners interested by this furtive nation will find Rogue State to be full of juicy insight.

Simple

What disappointed you about Rogue State?

Nothing. It was a poor judgement call to purchase it and I wish I could return it. It was a waste of both, money and time.

What was most disappointing about William C. Triplett’s story?

I'm indeed interested in international politics and North Korea in particular, however the book did not contribute anything to the subject.

Would you be willing to try another one of Bruce Mann’s performances?

The "author" manages to summarize the matter of nuclear proliferation to what seems to be his personal point of view of black and white, bad and evil, US American, republican patriots and North Koran, Chinese criminal, communist scumbags. Naive Europeans, mostly either compulsive drunks and/or Russian spies stand at the side lines of this grotesque picture.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Nothing. The person just read out the nonsense written by someone else.

Any additional comments?

The authors lack of writing skills, intellect, basic education and his profound ignorance towards reality made me speechless.
