Summary

It’s Short but Good
An enjoyable short story, with fab narrators. A different subject for a change. It’s a perfect little book for an afternoon read/listen.

If you have an hour to fill
I’m not usually a fan of novellas- I find them generally unsatisfying. However I had to do an hour’s workout, I love LJ Shen, and this was in the Plus Catalogue. So I gave it a whirl.
It’s a decent little story, with likeable characters, and there was nothing to hate about it. However I didn’t love it. As expected I was left wanting more, more of a story arc, more character development and more drama. Its quick insta love between a getting by single mum and a jaded rockstar with a HEA.
It wasn’t awful though, and if like me you have an hour to kill then this might be for you - both Savannah and Jason do an excellent job as always.
I wouldn’t spend a credit though.

Fun short story
I do usually love all LJ Shen books, this one was just a bit too short for me to get in to. It’s pretty hot & heavy fast & I didn’t really feel the characters. Nothing dreadful about it but not a favourite for me.

Heartwarming & spicy 🌶 novella
This very short bit definitely good heartwarming and spicy novella is definitely worth listening to, specially if you have some free time or want to get through unsavoury chores.
A musician and hotel house keeper get together in this instant love/lust story. It is spicy and quick, but really good too and the narration is fantastic.

Short romance
Although this is well narrated and the audio production was brilliant, it isn't a book for me. There was no character development but then being a short story even shorter than a short story I can understand that. It was more a concise smut book where they happen after one night of sex to fall in love, then two years go passed in one chapter or two chapters and they getting married.

I loved the narration and would like to hear Savannah Peachwood narrate more kids' characters. Jason Clarke was wonderful too.

Ridiculous and short. V disappointing 👎
Really like LJ Shen’s audio books but WTF WAS THIS???
Really stupid of me not to notice it was sooooo short. Wasted a credit on this thinking it was a PROPER length story like Shen’s other audio books, which I cannot fault. Practically over before it started. Quite a few authors do this now…..churn out shitty short stories or do .5 of a book of a story to actually finish it. Just write a full story or don’t. Feel slightly mugged! 😕🤔
