"Fans of games, logic problems, and mental conundrums will appreciate the plot permutations that highlight the adventures of four feisty heroes in this sf/fantasy blend." (Library Journal)

Unnecessary

An unnecessary book for what is a brilliant series. Unfortunately it reads like padding, as if Piers had a word count to get too. Half the book is just more of Book 4 and you do get fed up with endless sex that adds nothing to the story. It is by far the weakest book in the series.
